The devs are trying to build a decentralized budget governance on the MN network. We've been testing it. Would love to have you join the testing to help out, and it would benefit your Dash knowledge also: https://dashtalk.org/threads/v12-testing-thread.5484/

Yes, there are many ideas to build apps on top of the Masternode network. However, we don't have enough people. It's taking all the developers we have to get the basics down for DASH. The good news, though, is that the ability to pay new developers via the block rewards for pursuing their interests in these apps, as long as they get the votes, is going to be a huge boom for DASH.
