but when I run
./darkcoind masternode start "ThisIsASuperLongPassphraseMoreOrLess"
I get: "not capable masternode"

This is my .conf
addnode=23.23.186.131
testnet=1

Try stopping the daemon and restarting it, then "masternode start" again. Seems to do the trick for me.

successfully started masternode

edit: just checked my balance someone sent me another 1000
Was that the problem? That chaeplin sent me 2000 in one transaction?

I think input 2000 is problem, so sent 1000 again.
 
Could everyone please update their darkcoind and darkcoind-pool, I have a critical update I just pushed out (same version number though, sorry)

Great, thank you! Now to understand the objective of this test, should I run a MasterNode, or should I just mine?

Ok, sent!

Got my masternode running now. I successfully mined 450 coins during the night ;) Using QT wallet. Now no longer mining, now running a node. But I think we may need to do some darksending??
 
Question: Can we set this up so that all Masternodes share the 10% rewards for being online instead of paying out only to those nodes that were chosen to do the work? I ask this for 2 reasons. 1. If only the working MN is paid, then MN's will get very little payout, as only when a successful darksend happens, and a MN is utilized, will anyone get paid. People don't always send funds using DS. As a result, there will be very little to no income for Masternodes as a whole. 2 if that's the case, nobody would run MasterNodes, also any glitch (not true randomness) could cause some MasterNodes never to be chosen and others chosen more often.
