Hey guys
ok it seems clear by now that @JasonHan (after multiple warnings and empty promises) will not reimburse (as promised) or deliver these missing miners !!

I had multiple conversations with him direct (benefit of the doubt) and it seemed clear that he got screwed over by his Korean supplier. He promised me direct + the community a full reimbursement

this is now 5 weeks down the road , i tried to contact jason multiple times direct to get feedback on this issue - and NO more reply !

i would suggest to everybody who lost funds in this endeavour to organise (power in numbers) , get a lawyer and start a claim at small claims court.
as it seems jason is in Canada so it should be based on Canadian Law.
We have many local Canadians in the community (Tao, Studios,...) and sure they might be able to help or advice reg finding a Lawyer to take this on

I tbh have no experience in this and tag @fernando here to see if he has any suggestions ?!

I've reach out to him one more time, although his past failures to communicate don't make me think he will get back to me this time.

Courts are a terribly inefficient way to settle things, but it seems it is the only thing available now.

I can help with some coordination, but this has to be done by a Canadian lawyer and he will represent each individual directly. First thing is to determine who is affected, so please post here if you are. If you are not comfortable doing so publicly, just send me a PM. I'll compile a list and then will start communicating over email. I love this forum, but legal strategies don't belong here.
 
I ordered a quad cube miner for 4630$, he told me he would update me on the info etc
I emailed him july 2nd asking about any info and I havent received any emails yet aahh I hope it isn't a scam..
 
i believe you guys should collect data and customers and regroup in private somewhere
power in numbers (go get em) !
 
Any time there is a bump or unanticipated complication in a business transaction, it absolutely will make it worse if one fails to keep open lines of communication. Surely, this fault is largely Jason's. Hey, own it and then take active steps to fix it.

I too view courts and lawsuits as a remedy of last resort.

But if we got a more detailed and satisfying explanation to the individuals involved, and to the community. AND some kind of time line where we could expect some kind of resolution, perhaps it is not too late.

I am in the same boat. Approx 3.4 BTC or roughly $4500 at the time. I am willing to pool and find a lawyer. I'm in the states, but would be willing to try and work this out for the simple principal of it. Jason took on the legal responsibility as a sole proprietor. He should have thought ahead before dealing with sketchy supplier.
