Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

I am correcting your statements so they don't get misinterpreted. Setting up a masternode or liquidity provider is significantly different and requires funds and babysitting. This is NOT the same as starting a bitcoin client and not ever doing anything. See post on page 1. More nodes in the...

Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

First start your wallet and run from the debug(or add dash-cli before): keypoolrefill 100000 Backup your wallet. Add these lines to your config liquidityprovider=1 anonimizedashamount=1000 Now run your wallet, and unlock it with your password with(the 100000000 is seconds to unlock, true at the...

Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

I love how everyone approaches this discussion in a different way.... Moocowmoo, maybe a web interface would work well. Like a set up screen for a bitcoin miner where you just type in the IP of the miner in a web browser put in your configuration options and and hit go. Minpeon might be a good...

Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

Actually, running a masternode is a limited population. This will only ever be about 500 people since most owners have more than one. (Why only 500 you say, because there are only so many sets of 1000 Dash and we already have half the Dash in masternodes). This isn't mainstream and doesn't...

Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

The Daily Decrypt had a bit on the full nodes Chris is building. Notice my comment.

Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

I agree with this. See my long post on the previous page showing how complicated and expensive a masternode is to setup. A liquidity provider would be a better/easier solution for Chris to work on.

Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

Colorful posts as always. LOL. Chris is funding this with startjoin. Calm down Camosoul. Info on the startjoin proposal here. https://www.startjoin.com/ProTip Hats off to Chris for trying something new and getting involved in Dash. He is also one of the few guests of the Max Keiser show...

Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

As for alternatives to the PI, I have tried out several. BananaPro - 2 core/1gb ram like the pi. Drivers are a pain. GPIO pins don't really work right. Bad documentation and information. It does have an SATA port, but still needs to boot from the microsd. (I give this a do not buy)...

Budget Proposal: User Friendly Raspberry Pi DASH custom built nodes

Although, the idea of running a masternode on a pi is feasable, it isn't the best hardware to use for a masternode. There are guides available on dashtalk that walk you through how to do it. It takes about 2 hours mostly to wait for compiling the code. Here is why this isn't the first...

    December 2015 Budget Proposal

Looks like you got your wish to delay this budget round. https://dashtalk.org/threads/budget-glitch.7246/#post-76007

    December 2015 Budget Proposal

Well, Sub-Ether started flaunting his 1 million key wallet. I had to put a stop to that with a 2 million key wallet. And then last month he goes crazy with 10,000,001 keys and a 6.3GB wallet size! Crazy wear on the hard drive making that many keys. My next attempt, I'll have to try it on...

    Budget glitch?

Although this is unfortunate, I am confident this will be fixed in 30 days or less. Tante, if we just allow more coins to be created, or give an exception, we destroy the concept that you need to do quality work to get paid from the blockchain. The threat of not being paid is what...

    Evolution - Dashdrive Discussion

Is DashDrive only intended for blockchain and transactions? This will be the most expensive secure storage available. It would be best to keep any outside services off of the DashDrive. Bitcoin is getting sidechains polluting their blockchain. Eventually, this DashDrive will be huge and you...

    Dash Evolution Discussion Thread

TanteStefana - did you get an answer on the sending money with aliases you posted in bitcointalk? Here is some info from page 26, finally got there.... When sending money to known aliases on the network, the payments are completely public and transparent. At all other times on the network...

    December 2015 Budget Proposal

Revised with name matched sorting. I initially search by names, sort, and find differences. I then search for budgets with the different names and take out the name/url/total. Only problem with this is that now the from address isn't picking up in ssmtp so it uses the default. It must be...

    December 2015 Budget Proposal

Thanks Moocowmoo. I knew you would have something to add. Playing with this now. Shows name, url and total budget. These shouldn't change and if they do I want to know. (extra quote so it only pulls TotalPayment" instead of TotalPaymentCount. Don't think you need to sort. Shouldn't the...

    December 2015 Budget Proposal

I think you can sign up with dashwhale.org without any masternode info. Then you can get notifications and comment on budget proposals. Not really why I asked the question though. There was/is a dash email list for new dash versions. I thought I signed up for it, but don't think I ever got...

    December 2015 Budget Proposal

I got it. First ever budget email notifier. Assuming you have your dash-cli setup in /home/dash/ and your data directory in /home/dash/.dash. You need your dashd running - but it doesn't need to be a masternode. First time it runs it will give an error. What will it do Checks if a proposal...

    December 2015 Budget Proposal

Code...LOL. Keep in mind a budget notification is only affecting 4000 masternodes, maybe only 500 people. Normal users don't see this or care. Understand about not registering for dashwhale. Would you be open to getting an email that goes out whenever a new version is released or budget...

    December 2015 Budget Proposal

That still wouldn't work for me. I don't run my GUI all that often or want to remember check websites. I need an email or text telling me about a new proposal. That should be doable from the masternode daemon. Do your lookup every 60 minutes and if there is a new one ssmtp an email with...
