Where is the new website?

This budget passed 3 months ago. What is the progress on the development of the new website? Who is developing it? What is the time table for the finished website? The first budget for website development says 'pt-1' - when will pt-2 be proposed? The funds for this proposal have been paid have they not? Who received these funds and who was paid from them for doing work?

A quote from the original proposal:
Website and Design - $5000+ - Part 1 of 2

We have contracted a company to design our new fancy website and develop the software to run it. This is going to be quite the improvement over our existing website and we look forward to showing everyone!

Once we have the website built, we will ask for a second budget to reimburse the rest of the money that was spent.

Hi buster, the website is coming along well. After going through a few design iterations we have already arrived at a design we feel good about. The latest version of the design mockup includes several photos as place holders. At this point in time tungfa is working on selecting the final illustrations that will replace these place holders and he is working on this at the moment. We are using original illustrations and no stock photos.

Having said that, right now there is some design work going into the Miami mockups for the Evolution wallet, so the illustration work for the new website should resume in a few days when that is complete.

We, the Dash team, received this money and have been partially paying out as things get done, once we have something final we will of course present it to the community with a detailed report of expenses. The idea of the second proposal was just in case there were extra expenses beyond the initial one, at this point in time it looks like there wont be a need for a second one.

Same as with our "What is Dash?" video things just take time as we are executing many projects at the same time, but we are getting close.

Daniel, is the website going to be user-based with features or is it just going to be a place for information? Is there any plan on integrating forums at the new website considering the recent events that took place with dashtalk.org? Who is going to be managing the website after the developers finish building it?

My assumption would be that it is a user focused website because any web firm worth their reputation would never design dash.org for anyone but the main users. I would hope the forums are integrated, but might require its own server because the forums can knock everything offline if they ever go down, and that is a no no.

I would totally volunteer for web work for dash.org any day! :p

Hi buster, right now the design and flow of the website is oriented towards reaching a larger audience, simplifying crypto technical information and separating it from the main landing page to facilitate new user adoption, we are looking for conversion. Will probably start doing monthly webinars and things like that.

We will definitely launch an official forum on the new website and that will of course be user based it can run in separate servers etc. We are still in this process I don't know exactly who will manage it afterwards but I am inclined to think it will be a combination between team and community.

Hi TheDashGuy , we need all the help we can get and I am happy to get you involved. Will send you a PM and invite you to Slack so we can get you up to speed.

In the original proposal for this website it said we contracted out to a company to design this. In this post here(1) on #1-5 it says a new website is planned. Is this the same website? Did the company contracted actually do any work? Who got the 5000$ for this proposal? Is it spent?

I understand it's a work in progress but can we get some clarification on this... that's a lot of money.

When is the expected show date for a soft launch? Whats left on the checklist before we get there? What does the scope of the "new" website consist of? Is it going to be crazy effective in terms of content? Is there a huge redesign in the works aimed at simplifying "What Dash is"? Whats the main goal for the redesign of the website?

Whats the new marketing angle for this website in terms of how the content will be pitched? Phrased? Whats the main goal for the "random guy that found dash.org by search "dash" in google?" Who is our target audience? How long do we expect until the website can provide some quality analytics to prove the new website was better than the last? Can we please start also getting monthly dahs.org analytics reports?

Will there be plenty of social media baked into the site as to create our own little Social Media engine? Is there a way to integrate more of a "News" aspect where the community can get articles featured within the main pages?

We should really be alot more transparent with these sort of projects, it makes everyone more calm and happy to help out and lend a hand. Looking forward to seeing the brand new website! I hope its all it can be and more, as it had a VERY large budget, a VERY long timeline and quite a wonderful product to design for. Should be the best website of 2016 if done right.

Good luck guys.

Thanks Minotaur . Im so glad the focus is towards simplifying this for noobs like me. I'm sure you can remember me making those same remarks 2 years ago, that this would be where our future was...making this all simple for everyone to use. Thanks for this update. Cheers

Are we still waiting on an update for this? I would likely to see some sort for timeline please, as I'm 100% sure you guys are either already 99% done OR done. Can we get some screenshots? A soft launch? a beta site? anything?
