I have a bit of mixed feelings about the enhanced GUI to be honest, i like the way the wallet gets re-visualized
into a more modern look but at the same time the white background seems to be drowning some function buttons.
Also i would have preferred the outgoing transactions to be in a different color then the ingoing transactions (the arrows that are
being used in the transactions are just a bit to vague for that i think).

I do appreciate all the hard work thats put in here by the way, its just my 2 duffs about it.

FWIW--I agree--and yes, function first, form second. Given some of my previous statements in these parts, some might find what I'm about to say a bit ironic... but I really would prefer a... "darker" wallet.:what:

Hi! I've tested new theme in Windows 8 and Ubuntu. Ubuntu is OK, but Windows 8 have some issues.

1. Margin in button text.

2. Menu items and active menu item background colors merge and have no delimiters.

3. Same as second.

4. Russian translation issue.

5. Background is too smooth.

6. Color is too bright.

I guess you're referring to the "Try Mix" and "Reset" buttons on the "Overview" page? No biggie to make those darker or just add a little frame around them. What would you (and others) prefer?

I vote to dark gray frame to every button.
Now it is hard to say wich is button or just text rectangle.

also no more lagg during sync on my windows wallet. Unfortunetely i did experience some crashes and have not managed to mix something yet.

I just reindexed, was trying to copy the numbers (Jan 8 2015 ... block 1170 I think) then WHAM !
Fully sunc'ed. Less than 30 seconds.
Damn!

I would love to see different revisions to the incoming/outgoing arrows. Never been a fan of that styling of arrows and think there might be other options worth pursuing (namely to the green + for incoming red - for outgoing).

Probably all going to change anyway, lets see what the branding guys have in store. Functionality first, cosmetics second. The simple fact we have this is awesome!




1 - OSx, Retina 2560 x 1600, VM full-screen 1280x800 16:10, no-full-screen it changes depending on screen size I drag. For ex;

2 - Sure. VM-ware not-full screen. Fire up QT and lower corners are off screen, can't get there with mouse. Enter VM fullscreen mode and exit, and the QT auto-resizes automatically to whatever phreak size window I have going. I resize at will, and am all happy. Until I switch tab. When I switch tab, the lower corner drops below VM screen area, as per my screenshot a few posts back. Enter full-screen-exit ... fixed. Until switching tabs again.

On mainnet, it behaves a little opposite.

When QT loads first time (new GUI), its properly dimensioned. But when I click on a tab, lower corner's gone.
Reverting to lol... semi-vanilla... work fine.

I also notice that blue theme does not dimension well on Y axis, but great o X. Vanilla is smooth on both.

I'm certainly not a design expert, but I think some knowledgeable folks put a lot of thought into this one. It would be cool to try and incorporate some of the ethos, if not the actual colors into the wallet and future logo designs:

Not that I'm a fan of fiat you understand. It would also have the advantage of retaining the appeal to Dark Markets so many are concerned about.

Here are some interesting messages I am receiving from the Windows 32bit wallet.

Also, the 'sending addresses' dialog box only displays the first few characters of the DRK address initially. In order to display the full address, the wallet must be maximized and then back to windowed before the address will display correctly.

Oh, and still existing is my favorite annoyance, when masternode=1 in the config file, whenever you go to send coin from this wallet to somewhere else the Darksend checkbox is always checked by default. Can we turn this off finally? Can't have darksend in a MN wallet.

Something funky going on. From information screen:
Wallet with masternode=1 has 10 connections and 3 MN's counted. Wallet without masternode=1 has 4 connections and only 1 MN

I am going to stop them both, delete peers.dat, and reindex.
