is the confirmations the same as in bitcoin ? to lower the chances of double spending? when can i verify the the payment is processed ?

I think that mitm.io (from moolah.io) used to accept Darkcoin, but they must have closed it because the website is down and I don't see any reference at moolah.io.

I used it a couple of times with mixed results, but the idea of an automated escrow was great.
