Thought about Budget Proposals

If you didn't notice, budget proposals are mostly about dreaming up wild ideas that have nothing to do with DASH currency improvement.

Why aren't the DASH Developers being paid to make Evolution? Why isn't there a DASH Budget Proposal to pay for this?

They get a salary just for being developers.

Do you see the correlation?

If the main thing we're supposed to be approving is already approved... Perpetually... Under a blanket salary...

What else is there to do but dream up crazy, unrelated bullshit to throw money at?

I think the developers should drop the salary proposal in favor of a proposal that actually says what they're working on. Set an example. I doubt anyone is going to question the value of this team, and they could jack the price up. Which I support. What we need is a set example of how this is done, not a "Throw us money because we're the devs." thing. Sure, that's a good enough reason, for them. But, not a good enough reason for everyone else. See what I'm sayin'?

Why should the proposer be the one carrying it out? Can't we direct the direction in any way? Where is the proposal from a 3rd party that says "Hey, you guys aren't doing what you're supposed to be doing!"

It's not really self-governance if the MNs aren't the boss....

My two duffs, anyway...

I believe there is some work going into something related to this. I'll not spoil anything but from what I understand there might be a better way to fund the core team coming soon.

Otherwise, right there with you man.

When you coming back to rage on slack?

It does seem that in trade, payments attached to the completion of specific tasks are generally more effective and profitable than payments made with no specific outcome attached to them. I would also support higher $/Dash amounts for task-related versus salaried payments.
