Run dash from usb key ??

I kind of remember that it is possible to ask Dash qt to look for the blockchain / wallet.dat ect if a different place other than User/Roaming
is this right ?
how do I do it ?

in windows can -datadir=<dir> be added to the dash.conf file?? or can it only be added to a short cut

Not sure, but think -datadir is primary option - it set directory where program look for conf, wallet, etc if not override by cmd line options.
If you want run from USB drive you need to copy dash-qt.exe, make .bat/.cmd/shortcut with datadir relative path:
dash-qt.exe -datadir=.
or
dash-qt.exe -datadir=.\data
and put dash.conf with other options

To be safe and super, put DASH on IronKey,
IronKey USB, is one of the places safe to set an easy password;
The usb will totally erase after 10 failed-password attempts.
Last 10x longer and are more durable, biometrics available.

Put inside dash-qt, via @Balych
and lock wallet using the longest, strongest passwords,
from that usb's password locker.
Then back-up wallet.dat file, on the same usb, all internal.
Password could only be copied from the usb.
