Dude, you are in a great starting position then!!! at least much better than most... I'm a lawyer (seriously!... please don't hate me, I earn my living doing more honest things)
 
I'm finding the osx version pretty unusable.. even after making sure denom was turned off the processing keeps exceeding 100% and hanging. This is my work machine which can plow through very labour intensive processes but even with just finder and the qt open it keeps hanging.

I've tried vs .25,.27 and now .29. Left overnight no denomination. Sent all funds to myself to a new address (thought maybe the hundreds of micro amounts from p2pool that make up my balance was the issue) became unresponsive as soon as I hit send. After force quit the transaction has gone through. Will report back if it demoninates after this.

I can confirm this for Windows as well, catching up with blockchain causes high cpu load for me. eduffield will need to have a look at this.

Thanks for the kudoz, but not to forget the many, many people here in the forum who help out too! I even received six EC2 instances free of charge from stonehedge and his wife.

Working hard to get the things sorted - and there is still a lot i want to improve ;)
 
Our pleasure flare. As discussed in private messages, I might not be able to help with the techie side but the least I can do is provide hardware. That's my real life specialism after all :D
 
I tried to compile a page which indicates the ratio of pools paying RC4:

We are already at more than 60% on RC4 for last 13h.

Edit: This is much faster than I anticipated. :)

Edit 2: Older blocks might be wrong regarding the RC4/RC3 status, as I did not have the masternode list history. But from this morning 5am GST it should be reliable.

Edit 3: Thanks chaeplin for the matching of pubkeys to pools. :)

.. and I'm getting this at the end of the debug:

darkSend => Idle and nothing happens..
 
did you receive a payment to yrself ? if so, the next step will be an incoming Darksend Denominate transaction (i just received my first one on testnet).
Problem is that the network is in the middle of updating which is delaying incoming Darksend Denominate transactions.

you could do a -reindex to see if that possibly triggers a payment to yrself .. or you could delete the whole blockchain except yr wallet and darkcoin.conf (backup up yr wallet first !!)
and let it resync from start. Or you could wait awhile, i'm sure a new update will come soon that successfully anonymize more then just 1 round... also the master nodes still need more time to update.
 
Same as issue as innergy although on OSX. And did redownload the blockchain. Will wait for next update.

Besides, could be just me but since the "RC4 Testing" topic has been closed it's quite a puzzle to follow the latest development on foot. Any 'main' topic that I might have missed?
 
I agree... Seems like we have to jump around a lot in the forums to get an update on what is happening with each release.

This update addresses the following issues:

1.) The round > 1 error was caused by a lack of fees, because of this the network refused to accept the transactions. I've made the default darksend fee 0.0125, or currently $0.043 per 1000DRK. This means to anonymize $3450 it will current cost 0.0013%. Even with the higher fee our solution is decentralized and cheaper than any comparable mixer on the market. Also, it's good to remember this fee goes to the miners, so it will actually benefit the network and make mining more valuable.
2.) The "DoAutomaticDenominating : No funds detected in need of denominating (2)" issue was caused by something added in the last version to improve anonymity in some cases. It's fixed in the new version.
3.) This update is backwards compatible.
4.) Updated the splashscreens. A big thank you to raze!
