I agree and think DAPI will change how we shop, however, I think that won't happen for a while yet and IMO we can't realistically expect merchants to just "jump on" some new crypto platform without having preliminary exposure to this concept and doing business in Dash.
I'm concerned that we won't have any marketplace presence and then when Evo is released we don't have an app to draw people to where they can spend Dash. I want Evolution to have a marketplace on Day 1 with existing merchants and feel that it will take investment such as this to build a userbase and merchant directory that is significant enough for people to want to use it.
There needs to be some type of transition mechanism for merchants to exit the legacy system and Dashop will serve that purpose.
Marketing Plan is mainly going to be focused on a 3 month Twitter and YouTube marketing blitz, emphasizing the limited time introductory discount campaign.
50 Dash for Social Media Marketing: Dashop will have a Twitter and Facebook account, YouTube videos and be running ads promoting introductory discounts on purchases and incentivizing merchants to list.
100 Dash for Limited Time Promotional Discount Campaign with 20% off for purchases and 20% rewards on sales for merchants (until funds run out). This would guarantee at least $250k USD in total revenue, at $1000/Dash.
Would you be in favour of Dashop to be a Dash-Funded Organization?

Some thoughts for your consideration:
Who would I send the "profit share" to?
How can I or the Dash Treasury guarantee there will be any profit to share?
What is this website worth to you? To the Dash Network?
Did you see that Monero marketcap increased 50% Dec. 4-5 after announcing "Project Coral Reef" and may be selling Mariah Carey music?
Is there anyone else proposing what I'm proposing and offering a solid plan and team to execute it?
So if it cost 200 Dash and generates $5B in market cap... Is that not enough for you?
If not, what is a good ROI?
Just curious about how much time I should spend on Dash and if it has any future.
Maybe MNOs will be unreasonable tight wads and not use the advantage the Treasury affords us.
Will we attract professionals with potential to make a decent return or dump on them when they invest time and money into building this ecosystem?
Are we changing the world or running a thrift shop?

Not sure you answered how the website could cost 200 dash. Or why you wouldn't do this yourself if you seriously believed this single project would increase dash's price by 50%.
As for profit sharing, accountants and auditors are available for hire. The profit share could work similar to Kuvacash's Utility Note:

200 dash does seem really high for building out the site. It might set minds at ease if you broke this down into deeper detail as others have mentioned. Maybe it would make sense to shop your quote to a few other firms...
I really dig the idea though, assuming you were able to attract quality merchants. It would be great to have a site that connects you to all the merchants that accept dash around the interwebs.

Thanks for sharing the info about KuvaCash - I've wondered about their model.
I will see what I can do to re-negotiate the cost of the website while retaining all of the features.

A great proposal from a great DASH ambassador. I think there is no reason to vote no.
Its important to have a marketplace for when Evolution is released.

1) - Have you planned one or more people for the user support part (mail, chat) J7 / H24?
2) - Have you provided insurance and legal assistance?
3) - Have you planned multilanguage?

- Which country will the website be operated from? And where will the data be physically hosted? This is important as it governs what your obligations are with regards to data protection.
- There seems to be little in the way of details about how you plan to keep the website secure and protect customer data from hackers. Could you expand on these considerations please? A database full of Dash users, their names, addresses, contact details and wallet addresses could be an attractive target for hackers in the future..
- I believe you're using Wordpress as your starting point? This is fine for e-commerce, this article contains some very good points about the pros/cons though:

- Another issue I'd like clarification on.. 1 week to integrate WooCommerce and WC Marketplace? Your web people must be doing it wrong if it takes a week.. If you're using WordPress with Woocommerce & DashPayments plugin by Nathan Marley (the impression I get from the work schedule) then a fully functional e-commerce site (unskinned and unpopulated with products/merchants) shouldn't take more than a day to build, and I'm being generous there.. Could you confirm whether your web team are going down the route above please?
- Likewise for the REST API integration, 1 week? Again, I'd question your web team on this.
- Could you send us a link to some examples of similar e-commerce websites that this specialist web design company have built in the past please? Does this company have a name? I assume this is being contracted out at this price? Which leads me onto..

Are you sure your web team aren't trying their luck here? I'd be expecting a website to be coded from scratch for that!

Thank for your responses on Dashcentral, much appreciated. I really like the idea and I genuinely want to support it but I really think you should consider a tender process for this website development work - given the high price you've been quoted.
You don't need to go to India to get it done for less than 20 Dash. The going rate for a website to the spec and standard outlined in your proposal is $15,000-$25,000 at the top end in the UK... I'm willing to accept that labour rates differ in various countries but the UK and Canada can't be out of whack by $140,000.. ? Even on a $1,000 day rate for a high quality web developer that's 160 days labour? Or 80 Days for two developers etc. It doesn't take this much labour to build this, that's all you're paying for if you think about it.. most of the software is open source, hosting is buttons, even paid for Themes are fairly inexpensive. The website is 80% templated out of the box with a CMS, various plug-ins for e-commerce, payments, security etc. It takes hours not days to get a functioning website up and running, they've already done the bulk of it in the demo link they've provided to be honest, if you don't know that then you should..
Please think about what I've said, you're being taken for a ride by your developers charging you $160,000 for this website. It's scandalous. At the very least get 2 or 3 prices in from different web agencies in Canada. This is a lot of money the MNOs are trusting in your hands and they won't be forgiving if it turns out you've been ripped off.. Especially if you didn't do enough due diligence through a fully transparent tender and selection process.
All the best with it, I genuinely want this to succeed, please don't waste all that money though, do this properly and get a second and third opinion from other web agencies in your local area.
