Who we are?
Cryptobuyer is a Digital Assets connector for emerging markets also known as the first company to sell Dash in Latin America and the first in the world to install two Bitcoin / Dash ATMs in one of the biggest commercial banks in Panama. Here are the related press releases:

In January 2017 we moved our headquarters to Panama and in June 2017 Cryptobuyer was accepted as an affiliate on the City of Knowledge of Panama (http://ciudaddelsaber.org/en) to help spread the word and educate people about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.

With that goal in mind Cryptobuyer created a space called The Blockchain Embassy (https://www.embassypty.com/en/), located in Balboa Boutiques Strip Mall, in the heart of Panama City, where we help people, companies and regulators to understand the blockchain technology. We make this possible by hosting meetups and workshops on hot topics as mining, security, trading and entry level talks. On the Blockchain Embassy, newcomers to the world of cryptocurrencies can have their first experience with the technology by downloading a wallet and loading it with Bitcoin/Dash through our ATM. Also the customers can see in real time a Dash Mining working as they learn the parts of the Blockchain ecosystem. Here is a photo of the miner Baikal we have on the embassy:

One of the inquires with often get by business owners at the end of our meetups and workshops is how do they accept cryptocurrencies payments in their business, to answer that, we created a POS Application that enables a merchant customer to accept payments in Bitcoin, Dash and Litecoin out of the box. Here are some screenshots of the application working:

Multiple merchant customers have raised the alarm that Bitcoin fees and confirmation speed makes it almost unusable to receive micropayments (like buying a cup of coffee), so we see this as a great opportunity to push the DASH adoption by promoting it and educating people about all the benefits DASH have to offer like low fees, faster confirmation speed and privacy.

Furthermore to this plans of expansion and promotion of cryptocurrencies in Latin America, we have plans to deploy a vast network of ATMs throughout the continent, we will achieve this by placing ATMs on any major city of Latin America. We initially are going to deploy ATMs in Panama, Costa Rica and Chile, but we have plans to cover Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Peru and Uruguay. The total number of ATMs we are planning to deploy is 200 by the end of 2018.

We already have identified 15 possible locations within Panama, focused on accessibility, security and tourist attraction to ensure the constant flow of people every day.

What do we want to do?
  • Deploy 10 Bitcoin/DASH enabled ATMs in Panama.
  • Deploy Cryptobuyer Pay to accept DASH Payments into N malls of the Panama City.
  • Create audiovisual content to promote the DASH Enabled POS System in the City of Panama.
  • Run a facebook and twitter marketing campaigns on the city of panama.
  • Host a monthly event dedicated to promote DASH on the Blockchain Embassy.
  • DASH Giveaway to first time users of the cryptocurrency that attend to our meetups and workshops.
  • DASH Merchandising giveaway on the Events.
  • Improve the Cryptobuyer Pay Web Application.

  • ATMs Purchase and shipping to Panama. 2 months.

What will the fee's be for bitcoin and dash ?

* The more I read about the ATM proposals the more I like the idea that we setup a special DAO to setup crypto atm's with Dash at 1% and all others at market rates, any profits made this way, should be earned by the masternodes. With the right people this should be possible.

Hi Philosophers, the current fees are around 8 %, the international ATM average, you can check here https://coinatmradar.com/charts/#fees. Your idea of the special DAO sounds interesting and can work about it in the future.

Is it your plan that the Dash Treasury pay for all of these. --- "The total number of ATMs we are planning to deploy is 200 by the end of 2018." --- you seem to be asking Dash to buy you 10 machines now (and pay for "full" support of them) and still want to charge 8% fees.

Is your Dash POS system open source?

Thanks for your feedback.

No, we don't have intentions to Dash Treasury to pay for the whole network of ATMs, The idea here is that we are going to launch the ATM Network using our own funds the next year.
We have to consider besides the cost of the equipment, the renting space, electricity, and internet connection, all of these have to be paid with the fees gathered from the operations.

The POS System is not opensource, it is a custom development that once it is matured enough we could make it opensource, but first we have to scale it and get the feedback of users and merchants, that why we are asking the dash community for this initial help.

Sadly no :( , but we believe that exposing the advantages of Dash over the other cryptocurrencies is a strong selling argument and what a better way of demonstrating it in real time using our POS Platform?
 
Looks like you're already accepting BTC and LTC and those networks haven't contributed anything to your costs, why would Dash? I don't see a clear benefit from us subsidizing your operation and I especially don't see a good ROI on the amount that you're asking.

Hi RGXDK,

The reality is that we were the first Platform in Latin America to accept Dash after Bitcoin, and to this day we only use those two currencies in out web platform (https://cryptobuyer.io/), the other currencies added, are only present on the POS Solution and it was a request from the merchants to a real necessity.

We are sad we won't have your support for but we will be continue working tirelessly to promote the use of cryptocurrencies in the region.
 
I am fine with you charging 8% for other crypto's but if you want my votes, you'll have to allot better than that, I would say 1% for Dash fees. I am voting for a free lunch for you.

Such a DAO would work allot different form what your proposing for starters. you'll need a business plan and business structure that differs from what your proposing. For starters the bulk of the profit will roll back to the dash masternode owners, and the people working for are working based on salary, and only limited towards earning a profit, further more. The goal is also to compete with excising ATM's that offer at 8% fee. Dash ATM will at the very least offer 1%, all other currency can be done for profit.

makes no sense Dash financially support other cryptos , then charge 8% to use other currencies and low fee to Dash users or exclusivity Dash on your system .
 
Is your POS system already available for use around the world? And it does USD conversion, potentially to US bank accounts?

If Dash does not fund your project, will you still support Dash in this project?

Thanks again for your comments!

We can work on lowering the fees for the Dash operations and push the adoption of Dash over other currencies, the idea behind this Pre-Proposal is to iterate with the community and make the adjustment to fit the needs not only of the backers also for the general public.

At Cryptobuyer we have more than 2 years of steadily growth and we are in a point when have learned about the real people needs, and the best way to onboard them.
Our currents ATMs have a lot of demand, and the people are ok with paying fees, this kind of system is the only that allows you to get Dash with Cash, fast, without waiting or exposing your security and also has a complimentary system to spend on your regular store or service, this is a validated idea, and the merchants are pleased to have an alternative.

Hi studioz,

Thanks for your comments and suggestions, we can work on lowering the fees for dash, but eventually have a zero or 1% cost on Dash is not a business model, is more a giveaway. If the community think this can be sustainable we can discuss it, but the main focus is to make Dash a real alternative over time.

Hi thedesertlynx,

Yes! the web application is up and running in production with real merchants and it can be used anywhere in the world. The main idea is behind this product is that the merchant hold the Dash, but if they want USD, we have the banking and legal structure to liquidate the transaction in USD in Panama and in a limited way in United States.

Cryptobuyer Pay have the option to lock the payment amount in USD at the moment of the transaction, and send the 100 % of the USD to the merchant account, also a combination of 50% in USD and 50% of dash. Again, all is about alternatives for the people, not limitations.
