Me:
I´m coachdigi "Helio C. Torres" and I´m an industrial engineer studying the last semester of a marketing masters degree at Anáhuac Cancun University , Mexico ( http://www.anahuac.mx/cancun/). I´m a math and physics teacher in a public high school and I´m also a coach at the Anahuac University football team named "Cancún Lions".

Even do I´m an industrial engineer I´ve worked all my life in the marketing area,
I´ve worked at promotional and marketing business giving services to Unilever Mexico. (Axe, Ponds, Rexona) and then as brand engineer at Siemens Enterprise Communications Mexico but 10 years ago I ran away of the troubles of the big Mexico City and went to paradise city (Cancun,Mexico).

2 months ago I met with Bitcuners and they talked and explained me what was Dash and how it worked as a DAO. After doing an analysis of Dash I realized that I felt identified with the Dash's mission.
Dash’s mission is to deliver safe and reliable financial solutions to consumers and merchants in a decentralized manner - providing greater economic freedom to its users and I´ve even bought some Dash minners (Still waiting for them).

So this why I´m interested in promoting Dash.

The problem

After analyzing Dash and Cancun´s comunity I concluded that:
  • Not many people knows what a digital coin is
  • Some people had heard of Bitcoin
  • Fewer people has a digital Wallet
  • The mayority of people that has a digital wallet has Bitcoin, Ethereum and other currencies
  • Few people has Dashes
  • The people that has a digital wallet uses their digital coins as an investment for the future but nobody has used them as a daily coin (Buying services or products) becouse their is no comerce that accepts digital coins
  • Young people (high school and univesities students known as millenials and centennials) are more willing to use a digital coin as a daily currency than older people ( X generation and babyboomers)
  • X generation and babyboomers mistrust ecomerce or they think is very dificult
  • Its not easy for millenials and centennials to buy digital coins becouse the mayority doesn´t have a bank acount.
Proposed Solutions

These solutions satisfy Dash vision statement (important in every mkt effort)
People and businesses use Dash as digital money for everyday financial transactions

Bitcunners in Cancun are doing a great job with the Coffe Dash Talk, promoting Dash and the use of criptocurrencies and #FirstDashWallet is a great idea and we should still use it for creating Awareness of DASH.

I think that if we want Dash to be in the "Top of mind", the people has to start using Dash and the Dash's apps (evolution Dash, Dashpayment procesor, etc) on daily basis.

How?
  • Creation of a University Dash ecosystem by sponsoring Anahuac's Cancun University football team "CANCUN LIONS"
  • The sponsor will include 100 daily meals for players.
  • The players will use their digital wallet to pay with Dash coins at the School Cafeteria so the other students can see them do it.
  • Whith a #FirstDashWallet promotion the mayority of the students can get thier first digital wallet
  • The university has an agreement with le-cordon-bleu and many of our players studies a cookin degree (http://www.anahuac.mx/cancun/posgrados/le-cordon-bleu/)
  • I´m having a DASH Talks to a food truck Deck with 14 Food trucks so they can accept Dash too, some players and senior players own some of the Food Trucks
  • This Food Trucks will have a special Dash meal

So far this is my pre-proposal and I´m still working on it but first I would wan´t to know you opinion of this proyect.

I´m meeting with some owners of the foodtrucks so I can understand what they want or what they don´t want so they can trust digital currency and specially DASH.

Next week I´ll have a meeting with the univesity's administrators and the cafeteria.


This is my first pre-propousal, so i´m still learning the process.

As you adjust your Pre-Proposal to our feedback, the evaluation is adjusted and this may be done a number of times (up to 2 or more).
Each time the chance of your Proposal being accepted by the MNO’s will increase.
If you want to know who will be doing the Evaluations – see here: PEC Pre-P https://goo.gl/qrbeXK

The evaluations also have another function:
To give the MNO’s and community a Prioritized List of Evaluated Proposals. This list will save the MNO’s and everyone else time and increase the chance of your proposal gaining votes. It will also prevent your proposal from getting lost amongst the horde or prevent it from not being read, because it’s too long or non-conforming.

To adjust your Pre-Proposal for the 1st evaluation will be a time consuming (+- 2 hours of work), but believe me it will be well worth your time if you are serious about getting your Proposal passed.

Keep your Pre-Proposal here on this thread. Improve it as our Reports and the community feedback indicate and you'll have a far better chance of getting the necessary votes next month

I had a short talk with the owner of "the Deck foodtrucks" and he said "Yes". Next week I´ll have a meeting with the 14 owners of the foodtrucks in "the Deck", so I want to know what POS app We can offer them?

  1. There is an Dash Project Template (.docx file) on the wiki that has been developed by the Core Team to help you create a more detailed pre-proposal. Can you use this template to format your proposal post?
    1. This will help you optimize your Pre-Proposal so it will have the best chance of passing the MNO vote.
  1. Are you happy to provide me with a way to verify your identity, for example keybase.io (Plus any social media you'd find useful like twitter, Linkedin, etc.)?
    • anonymous proposals are possible and you do not have to link to any personal details
I'm currently part of the PEC experiment, we are looking to create a simple and effective way to standardise and report on the pre-proposal process so the MNOs have everything they need to cast informed votes and proposal owners can clarify their plans.

Please find below your first evaluation. Please don’t worry too much about the score of your evaluation, it will get better (It is hard to address everything at once). More inside the evaluation :)

Couple of notes:
  • There is NO pass/failure mark. The percentage simply allows us to create a Prioritized List of Evaluated Proposals. The idea being that a MNO with very little time can concentrate on Proposals at the bottom of the list only. MNO’s with more time will obviously look at all proposals as per normal
  • The evaluation also enables the Evaluators to look for scammers etc and red-flag a proposal that is a possible danger to Dash. They have more time and tools to look for the tell-tale signs.
  • How did the Evaluators decide on marks: PEC Evaluator Guidelines https://goo.gl/Futw1d
  • MNO’s have been very lenient in the past. So even if you have, what you might consider a low mark, you might still pass the Vote ;)
  • Most Important: The evaluation is to give you an idea of where you can improve your proposal to have a better chance of earning MNO votes.

When you improve your proposal, please color all new material in red and don’t delete any word/sentence, but use strike through or underline. This will make it easier for the evaluator to find changes, when she or he re-evaluates your improved proposal. The MNO’s will also so be interested to see what you changed to improve your proposal.

Since you were unlucky enough to submit your Pre-Proposal just as the PEC started, you had a handicap: You did not know the importance of the Dash Project Proposal Template https://goo.gl/m0jgfS .

This Template was created some years ago by the MNO’s to get all the information that they need to make an informed decision. It is also the easiest way for you to earn extra marks ;) If your proposal did not cover a question in the Template – just put the Heading and answer in your detail doc. If your proposal does cover the question: Just put the Heading with the words: See original Proposal.
E.g.: Project Scope - Milestones and Schedule: See original Proposal.

We know this is a painful bureaucratic exercise, but once you’ve done your improvements for this 1st one, the next couple of improvements (maybe just one?) will be easy, and of course – you are bound to have more proposals in the future!

Hi @Coachdigi , If you are interested to test our Dash-enabled POS, kindly visit https://hbpay.hexabit.io or https://hbpay-testnet.hexabit.io (using test Dash dollar).
It is a customer self service terminal and you can use any Android Tablet. Would be interested to see if it is suitable for your needs.

Today I´m having a Dash Meetup with 2 Foodtrucks. this will be a test for every body.

Thank you, I´ll will study it so the Foodtrucks can use it, Today I´m having a meetup Dash talk with 2 foodtrucks andI´ll se their POS needs so we can satisfy them.
