  • DASH will be helping to fix an old problem: individual farmer can't access high tech to manage their crops (today is too expensive). Now people may have access to analytics service by not depending on banks, industrial monopolies, or governments! and will be able to pay for a cheap service that will allow them to improve their crops and reduce the use of environmental pollutants. More food and less expensive!
  • The AgroCognitive project will carry out training workshops (and attend to agro fair/expo) with farmers’ trade associations to teach the benefits of using DASH as real cash, not only to pay for AgroCognitive services, but also to buy materials and supplies among their community

Executive Summary

Today’s global agriculture is facing a lot of challenges to supply food to a growing demand while taking care of the environment and make it possible in the new emerging economy system.

Precision agriculture seeks to be efficient in terms of supplies (fertilizers, herbicides, etc.) and protect the environment, but this requires large investments in sensors and specialized devices that the common farmer (especially in Venezuela) can not invest.

AgroCognitive will ingest a photographic crop registry to deliver descriptive analytics (what is happening in your crops), prescriptive analytics (what you should do to fertilize, hydrate, fumigate, etc) and predictive analytics (what will be your crop output) at a very cheap rate for the farmer and using a universal and immediate technology like DASH as payment method, without banking or government intermediation.

This proposal is to make AgroCognitive a reality with DASH’s technical and commercial integration. DASH will give feasibility to this project while the network ensures its adoption at the root of the food production chain and will have all branding exposure benefits

Hi everyone!

AgroCognitive have been working despite not receiving funds from our latest proposal (May 2018 cycle). We have re-schedule our project plan expecting we can receive funds again in August 2018 (we will post our proposal back for the next cycle of July).

Due to these changes, the new AgroCognitive's (Stage 1) GO LIVE date has been moved to November 1, 2018. Attached you can see our new plan (activities blue colored are the only ones we don't stop in order to keep a progress in time) and roadmap's infographics.

As requested by the DAO, you did not make a proposal last month in order not to compete with CORE TEAM's requests and existing proposals.
The project you are carrying seems promising, because it is a project based solely on the use of Dash as a payment system.
Despite the last two months without Dash's funding, you continued the project. With a professionalism that is appreciated.

With this new announcement "Dash powered project was invited by IBM to be a speaker to share our story at world wide IBM THINK 2019 event (February 12-15, San Francisco, CA)" I see that this can go further on a self exposure of this project in spheres usually beyond the reach of crypto in general and Dash in particular.

That'll be a yes.

Hi Jol,

Non Profit & Loss acccount's group mean some capital expenses, provisions and/or reinbusrments don't belong to a profit and loss financial statement. It's our way to show to Dash community a style to detail our budget requierements following financial standards. AgroCognitive project wants to shows to community when it will turn profitable in time (see attachment in initial pre-proposal post to see a full Cash Flow for a year)

About IBM, yes we are excited about this event, because usually attend about 40K professional and business people... that is a huge exposure!

AgroCognitive project as a use case to study!

We are glad to let you know, today AgroCognitive was invited by the CIAP/UCAB (International Center of Professional Update) in Caracas to talk about our project as a use case in the course of "Big Data and Analytics in new economy".

We introduce AgroCognitive's project scope, its disruptive innovation model in analytics and DASH digital cash as the new payment technology that we'll insert in the food chain merchants in Venezuela. There were 25 entrepreneurs who downloaded their wallets and asked us how to get into DASH as a payment engine in their Startups.

Hi community

May you know, AgroCognitive is at the analytics engine (machine learning) training stage in sugar cane plantations (Portuguesa State, VENEZUELA). Sugar cane grow fast and we must visit and monitor every 15 days until the end of the harvest (it consist of taking pictures by drone flying and data collection with agronomists). Unfortunately our project is unfunded, however we have a very strong commitment to the farming communities that have been collaborating with this project and the Dash community that has trusted us. We can not ask nature to freeze and wait for us until raise funds enough while we stop data collection process, if we do that, AgroCognitive will lose current training stage data and has to wait 6-8 months until the start of the new plantation.

We understand treasury funds are stretched, DCG need funds for more cycles and MNOs have to manage a lot of priorities, that is why we're not going to post new proposal in dashcentral (until treasury have available funds again), all our development activities are stopped (due to unfunded situation) and we only execute the analytical engine training job.

That said, we want to announce our next actions to fund, restart and deliver project as we promised to Dash DAO, Dash Ventures and the Dash community.
  1. We will look for alternative funding sources in crowfunding platforms and will report, in our proposal thread, the money we have raised in transparency for Dash community;
  2. AgroCognitive project is published in new Dash Donations site (https://dashdonates.org) if any wants to support us. Thank you very much to @Quansen Very kind!;
  3. We are developing MEGA DASH RAFFLE (http://megadashraffle.ddns.net:8000/) a benefit raffle platform to rise funds for AgroCognitive (just in testing stage in dash testnet) but need more front-end design and programming. We will continue and release it ASAP, then it could become a new Dash DAO asset (if community are ok with it) to benefit AgroCognitive and other small projects that require funds to start;
  4. We are ready to sign our 3-year exclusivity Dash only agreement with DCG and confirmed our commitment that Dash Ventures will receive AgroCognitive shares proportional to the money injection that we received from the treasury (over the total amount of the investment needed for this project);
  5. We will continue updating our thread in the forum with news, progress and waiting for your suggestions and advisory.

Calling for support a new Dash project!​

Hi community. As you know, last Dash central cycles have been stretched due to current dash price, DCG and dash flagship projects leaving many great proposals unfunded.

AgroCognitive team developed a platform to help Dash community to fuel more projects:

MEGA DASH RAFFLE is a benefit raffle platform to raise funds for Dash community projects while backers (players) get a chance to win a jackpot prize.
For each ticket purchased, ticket price will be distributed (in % that may vary) to three wallets:
  • Jackpot for the raffle prize (40%)
  • Beneficiary project (50%)
  • Administration of the raffle system (10%)
Monthly, several raffle categories will be launched with different prices per ticket:

Hi Community,

As we reported you on August 6, AgroCognitive initiated the process of searching for funds through crowfunding platforms. We begin with a publication in indiegogo

Since then we have tried to make viral advertising of our campaign through social networks (facebook, instagram, twitter, etc.) but we have been constantly banned and our ads blocked because we mentioned DASH Digial Cash as part of the development of AgroCognitive. We have filled out the forms that ask for facebook to give permission to publicize solutions that uses cryptocurrencies and we have not received any response yet.

Then we decided to omit DASH in the AgroCognite ads branding and we launched other ads. They blocked us again when they investigated that we have spoken of freedom in the production of food and to being an alternative to promote clean GMO-free crops; this under the argument that they do not accept advertising with political overtones. We are waiting for apelation process

With this we want to inform that during the month of August, we only received donations by dashdonates.org for an amount of 7.29 Dash and by Indiegogo for USD 10.

It is frustrating to promote our project in social networks, but we will continue trying.

Summary:

AgroCognitive Dash powered is a DAO Dash/Dash Ventures project that received funds in the April 2018 cycle for 92 Dash and it suposed we will request funds for the following 5 months. However, in the cycle of May 2018 we passed but (due to the late arrival of votes) the super block did not pay us, then for the June cycle the MNOs asked us not to participate due to the tight budget. In July we participated, but we got a very demanded treasury funds and we did not pass.

From June to August we made every effort to move forward despite not receiving funds but in donations/crowfunding and with private funds. The only activity that has not stopped since then is in the collection of data for the training of the analytical model of AgroCognitive.

However, since last month we started to meetups with some entrepreneurs of food and drinks to introduce them to the basics of cryptocurrencies and training in how to use Dash to sell and pay (without giving any giveaway).

This began to explode, the interest has been growing not only with the entrepreneurs, but also with the merchants and sugar mills. That is why we want to take advantage of this synergy to start a cycle of interventions by the sugar states of Venezuela to consolidate a tissue in the commercial sugar chain, even though AgroCognitive has not been finished.

These trainings or workshop sessions are considered in initial AgroCognitive general, but now we propose to advance them before the final release of the product to take advantage of the “momentum” and the generated interest

Purpose / Justification:

Taking advantage of the synergies and partnerships, AgroCognitive will now going to hold a monthly meeting in each of the key cities/towns of the production and processing of sugar in Venezuela: the states of Portuguesa, Lara, Yaracuy.

In these meetings we want to give a comprehensive talk of AgroCognitive and Dash, deliver educational material, provide internet for attendees to download the wallet and give them a small giveaway to test the technology and can start trading among them, farmers and sugar mills ( these last two, AgroCognitive clients)

Goals:
  1. Refund AgroCognitive project to guarantee the resumption of key activities
  2. Begin the AgroCognitive campaign to sell its primary precision farming services (not related to machine learning)
  3. Hold a monthly meeting from November 2018 to February 2019 as a pre-launch of AgroCognitive in the venues of our allies that we list below:
    • FUNDACAÑA (Chivacoa, Yaracuy State)
    • SOCA PORTUGUESA (Acarigua, Portuguesa State)
    • CENTRAL MOLIPASA (Guanare, Portuguesa State)
    • CENTRAL LA PASTORA (La Pastora, Lara State)
  4. Reach 40 to 50 people among farmers, entrepreneurs and merchants linked to the cultivation, production, use and marketing of sugar and food products / alcoholic beverages derived.
Deliverables (for 4 months):
  • Educational material (about AgroCognitive Dash Powered and how to use and pay with Dash)
  • 40-50 downloads of wallets per session
  • AgroCognitive demonstrations
  • Communications and press management
  • Pre-release work plan of AgroCognitive for DashWatch
