Here on in is a hero with(in)
free from the stench of corruption and sin
a hero is one with a heart of pure love
that strengthens not withers as he grows above
a hero is one who shows others the way
back to the land of the living they say
our hero is missing your hero is gone
who now has the courage to carry us on
there are no more hero's
there are only men
learning the lessons
again, and again…

Cut deeper than most but see the angles were precise so I'll put on a hat to hide my horns in attempts to convince myself I'm just an angel in disguise.
 
As corporations kill each other
trying to succeed
in the name of profit wealth and greed
is reasons why
your minds eye will bleed
peace on Earth
when will we see
when this ends
humanities free
so i write,
life is what you make it
so read between the lines
as the government prints more money
takes over the corrupted minds
slave to the dollar bill
no wonder why we rob and kill
are the children happy learning still?
lets go to war
and the poor get kicked out the door
as the politicians laugh into the night

I am not your paradise.
I only hope you never notice me.
I've bled strong on each page of this poetry,
clutching at hopes held deep inside of a rosary.
Trying to bury my self deeper than those who stand close to me.
 
Never under estimate the power of the mind
for its thy eyes that deceive
and lead you to believe
that certain levels cannot be achieved
for this is artificiality,
a conscious illusion with subliminal ties
and the fact is
reality doesn't lie
brought to you by the universe

When is the time we'll finally see
the cost of peace on Earth is free
when love consumes
all life will bloom
no more hate
it is our fate
i love you
do you love me?
no matter who you are
or where she'll be
your my friend
beautiful and free
and we shall dance
in our cosmic dream

I wish i was a tree
for the spring would bring me all new leaves
every year growing up so differently
my friends the only ones you need
are the birds who fly and sing to me
i could be their home for when they go
only being heard when the wind blows
saying things only animals know
can live in peace for all to see
and grow up tall for all to be
oh how i wish i was a tree

For just once in my life give me this…
the ability of being allowed to see
the answers i need unfold in front of me
i wish for peace and i wish for love
i wish for the sky and the moon above
like a flower that grows
even it knows to let its true colours show
in time we'll see

Wrote this one a few months ago, let me know what you think...

This for our brothers, fallen in blood
And the shadows (=enemies) slain, in their way so
We can see the light of day, this shadow (=enemy) now
Lurks in our way; clouds our day (tries to defeat us)
Though this pain (pain of losing our loved ones) is, burning (makes us regret martyrs leaving us), all of it away

This for our fathers, laid to rest
To those who passed, this eternal test (were good people)
Memories, be embraced (held dear)
A trail of blood (history), left to contest (be against those who deny); to be blessed (make martyrs divine)
Though these tears are washing, all of it, the best (grief makes us forget why they died)

We; stood right here
Had no fear; when they (=enemy) came
We were near
Rise; from the ashes
To the skies, to reprise

This for our children, taken by force
We hunt, the enemy, down to its source (=leader)
Redemption, lies right here
Though our end is, drawing near (we're not coming back)
We'll disappear (=die)
For our blood (=memories), will remain, through, all of these years

We; are the fallen
Our lives stolen, how we fought
Lesson taught (learn courage from us)
Passion (staying calm in war); clarity (seeing the enemy closing in)
Wings of; Insanity

This for our soldiers, who died in war
For a greed taken, so far (=very), too far
They died so, we could live
Is it too much for us, to believe? (believe in their cause)
And they can never leave (they're always alive in our memories)
For our hearts will keep the damned (hate for enemies), and the deceived (love for martyrs)
 
What I think is everything inside the (brackets) should be spoken and everything outside of them should be sung. This naturally is a song or at least it's trying to be. I will be the psychedelic magician on keyboard banging out some trip funk while you sing, deal?

Actually, I write song lyrics and this is one my lyrics (not a poem technically) but I figured I'd post here anyway. Stuff inside brackets are just explanation that I added while typing, they're not part of the song.
