The main blockchain members of the outgoing 2017 met in the concert hall Bel étage, located in the center of Kiev, on 20 December. The representatives of Central and Eastern Europe as well as the USA and Canada attended the event, which gave the ceremony an international status.
The main intrigue of the evening was the announcement of the results of the BTS Awards. The Vareger team developed an independent voting, built on blockchain technology. Thanks to the introduction of this technology, the organizers of the ceremony guaranteed the absence of falsifications, which reflected the honesty of the vote counting. Within 18 days, the fate of those who receive their «crystal bitcoins»has been decided.
The rewarding was presented in 11 nominations. A well-known financial analyst and managing partner of LegalBlockBit Sergey Kalinin noted that next year they are going to add one more nomination –«Woman of the year».
The rewarding of the winners wasn’t the only thing in the project, and the program of the event was supplemented by 4 discussion panels that covered the following topics: ICO & Tokenization, Legal, Mining and Coins. The event was attended by 16 experts in the field of cryptocurrency, who made predictions for the next year.
The names of the sponsors – Dream Team and KUNA Bitcoin Agency, were announced before the first discussion panel.
The topic of the first discussion was ICO & Tokenization. The founder of Distributed Lab Pavel Kravchenko, co-founder of TaaSRuslanGavrilyuk, CEO in Ambisafe Software – Johnny Kartakov and Adviser of the Hacken project – AndreyVelikij took part in it. There’s a lot to talk about «virtual» nomination «Coin 2017» which Bitcoin was awarded. In this nomination coin Dash took an honorable second place. Note the fact that now the digital currency Dash is rapidly developing and reaching out to the new markets. The current year Dash began with the point of 11$ and by the end of the year overcame the barrier of 1000$. Throughout 2018,Dash community is going to work actively to ensure that this cryptocurrency is the first in the category «Coin 2018».

The victory of AlexeyGusev in the nomination «Men of the year 2017» was a huge pride for the entire Dash community. Alexei could not attend the BTS Awards 2017, so the award will be handed to him by Dash representative in Belarus – Oleg Karimov. The man of the year 2017, AlexeyGusev, agreed to give an interview to our information portal.
-Alexey, under what circumstances did you know about such outstanding results? What did you feel at that moment?
˗Unfortunately, I could not go to the award ceremony, and frankly speaking, I did not expect that either Dash or I could win the award (if Dash was recognized as the cryptocurrency №1 at the Bitcoin event, it would be a nonsense). Therefore, it became a complete surprise for me when several friends began sending me messages and photos about voting results ... And as Ippolitsaid, «happiness can’t be neither planned nor expected». So I was shocked and I was overwhelmed with strong emotionsat the same time.
- Alexey, what do you reckon about such a ceremony?
- The idea is exciting. As far as I know such events are difficult to protect againstbiased judgements, cheats, etc.,but I was certainly interested in the results. It would be intriguing to know the technical side of the issue (if this information does not weaken the protection) – how the organizers managed to "tie" the blockchain, how to catch possible attacks of fake accounts, etc.
- What do you think are there in the Dash community other outstanding people who can be nominated for theaward in the near future?
- Yes, there are. And I am going to support them in any way. I can name some good Dash specialists who openly support the project and do not hesitate to express it publicly. They are Julia from Kazakhstan, the presenter of the YouTube channel «The World of Internet Business», DmitrijBaymuratov and the guys from his team who are not only engaged in information campaign but also actively promote the real application of Dash in local business. I also want to mention the new emerging team of Oleg Karimov from Belarus. There is also the only Russian-speaking member of the Dash Force team,but he is not «mature enough» to support Dash publicly. However,this is normal.
There are a number of other great personalitieswhosupport the Russian-speaking Dash community but they are to "mature" and focus on Dash in the coming years.
-How do these results affect Dash? What prospects do you have after winning in the nomination «Men of the year 2017»?
-I haven’t got exaggerated expectations.Yes, it was a good «information occasion» to demonstrate the effort and unity of the Russian-speaking Dash community. But on the other hand, it is very important for all of us, and for me as well to feel this support and effort. So in this sense it will motivate me and other Dash supporters.
-The New Year 2018 is coming. Alexey, what would you like to wish the Russian-speaking Dash community in 2018?
- I wish all a Happy New Year! Last year there were a lot of wonders for those of us who believed in Dash and who was involved in one way or another in the project. I wish your readers to find their place in the new emerging alternative crypto economy, to become the very pioneers and winners who receive everything: money, recognition and satisfaction from personal participation in the mission, which is important for the whole humankind – the transition towards the massive use of Digital Cash.This new growing deluge industry offers a range of new opportunities for active people. I envy those people who are now young and who can focus all their force and talents in this area to achieve well-deserved results. In my opinion Dash framework and its Budgeting system makes this project the best field to develop all sorts of talents. Take your chance – such opportunities often happen only once in a lifetime, and most people don’tget a lot of chances. Think fast, make your future in 2018!

AlexeyGusev and Oleg Karimov met in Moscow not only to hand the award but also to discuss the prospects for participating in the promotion of Dash. The signing of the long-awaited Presidential Decree on the High Technology Park was a significant event for our country.This Decree, according to the National Center for Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus, provides for the formation of the necessary conditions for the introduction of blockchain technology into the economy of the Republic of Belarus. Now digital signs (tokens) are the objects of legal relationships and law will regulate the circulation of tokens. Since this summer, when peopleknew about the preparation of the document, much was said about its progressiveness. The previous document was in operation for more than 10 years. It is clear thata lot of new technologies, for example, theblockchain, cryptocurrency, application sales through digital distribution services, which were not mentioned in the previous decreehave appearedover this period of time. The representatives of DASH presented the payment system at Blockchain Conference Saint Petersburg 2018
Historically outings were considereda good way to show yourself and meet other people. – The conference was unexpectedly crowded for me, comparable in its scale with Moscow events. At the same time, the DASH stand differedfrom the stands of other participants: most of the conference was presented by various young ICOs, i.e. theywere actually asking visitors for money for their projects. The representativesof DASH werejust standing, without asking for anything, but on the contrary,theywere hanging out souvenirs and so on. It was unusual, and people were surprised: "Why has DASH come here and why isn’t it asking for money?"In response we told in details about the DASH self-financing and self-management system, and how it works in practice. Everything was very positive!
Surprisingly, few people know about DASH within more than 4 years from the moment of its creation. And even those who have heard about it, know only a long history about the anonymity and that’s all. There we can remind about DASH to all the people who are already informed about it and we can introduce DASH to all those who do not know about the best payment system on the blockchain. We were working near the stand and hanging out branded promotional products: pens, magnets, calendars, notebooks, brochures, business cards. By the way, to my great surprise, a notebook becamethe most popular thing in the age of digital technologies. It was a cheerful surprise for all of us.
How successful was the presentation of the coin? The exchange rate for the time of the exhibition has risen from 588 to 680, so it was very successful (I’m joking). But to be serious, I think, we were considering DASH not as a coin, but as a payment system with new opportunities. In this aspect, all who were coming to the stand were satisfied.

– The impressions of the conference are very positive. While preparingfor the Blockchain Conference Saint Petersburg 2018 we were a bit exciting, because earlier we attended such events only as visitors. We were hanging out promotional products with DASH logos, answering questions about the technology, its features and prospects. We would like to note that the next significant event, where the team of the project "The Territory of DASH" will go, will be the International Blockchain Summit Moscow, which is held on March 1 in the capital of Russia.

– The conference was unexpectedly crowded for me, comparable in its scale with Moscow events. At the same time, the DASH stand differedfrom the stands of other participants: most of the conference was presented by various young ICOs, i.e. theywere actually asking visitors for money for their projects. The representativesof DASH werejust standing, without asking for anything, but on the contrary,theywere hanging out souvenirs and so on. It was unusual, and people were surprised: "Why has DASH come here and why isn’t it asking for money?"In response we told in details about the DASH self-financing and self-management system, and how it works in practice.
