And I agree, we need to get the homepage fixed today.
HTTPS is broken, icons are broken, and the logo is not clickable anymore...

I figured out why the https homepage's style is broken, it uses non secure url for the css files (http instead of https), therefore the content of those files are blocked by the browsers.
e.g. :

Both wallet links on the front page go to an internal 404 (blank): darkcoin.io/getstarted.html
Guessing it needs to link to either: darkcoin.io/downloads/ or darkcoin.io/using-darkcoin/wallet/
I see you have bigger problems, but this seems important for new users.
And I know it's been said, but linking to Allcoin first (or anything but top exchanges) makes DRK look terrible :

these problems should be really easy fixes - I have a good amount of wordpress and general website development knowledge, PM snogcel in #darkcoin / freenode if I can help out at all.... would be really good to get the home page fixed before PR blitz ;-)

We will. For some things access to the server is needed and only Evan has it, but it is still 11am for him.

The site isn't completely broken, but there are a few issues that need to be fixed for sure. It's tricky when people are on different time zones etc. I could go in now and fix things like the dark logo link, the redirects and things, but right now only Evan have FTP access. I'll see if I can get this off of him so we can go in and fix the remaining issues.

In reference to above, I noticed how some pages were loading correctly for me loged in as an admin, but not as a general user. After disabling some caching things now apear to be loading correctly for me, logged in and out, on https. Also good on my ipad.
Can other users please confirm? Graphics loading, community page looks good. (You might have to refresh a few times)

I'll fix the darkcoin logo link to the homepage.
The video?. To remove or not to remove, I don't know who should have say over this.

Concerning the old .html pages, I think that the highest priority is to redirect the links that are still on the OP of the ANN thread.

Well as the author of the video I would vote: remove. I never intented to create a promotional video explaining stuff to the world, rather I created a techy-demonstration on how to use darksend in broken english 
If we can get some unicorns, some music and maybe a good native english voice-over, i'd vote: keep.

If nobody else is doing it, I'd like to create a video explaining Darkcoin. I'll aim to have the completed by tomorrow night uk time.
I feel we need to have something that speaks to the masses and not just us geeks. Once we've created a general video about Darkcoin we can go on to create a series about using the wallet, security, merchants etc

mattmct it is also working for me now. I guess the cache plugin must have had something to do.
vertoe I'll replace the video with an image of the wallet. Anyway, tomorrow the first slide should be about going open source, so it would not have been so visible.

That's the sort of thing I was thinking of. Obviously we can't make it to close to the Bitcoin video but it will have the same 2d informational style.
Ok, with such a tight deadline I better get on with writing a script and basic storyboard. I think it's important to initially make a basic video by tomorrow night explaining the basics of Darkcoin and then we can expand on it afterwards. But we need something on the site for Tuesday when all the PR is released.
Yeah, and Evan will be around any time soon for that. One thing I know for sure, there is no single day in which he is not around.Nice. Hopefully people can calm down now
