According to the World Bank Q3 2017, Fees for African Migrant cash remittance exceeded $4 Billion US Dollars. Charges range from 12% for remittances from western countries to 25% for intra-African countries.

Todays an Africa sending money home say, $200 will pay a transaction fee of around $37
