GUI tool for running Masternode with Trezor

New version of the DMT released with bugfixes and the following new features:
  • Transfering MN payments from collateral's addresses
  • Signing messages with Trezor/Keepkey
  • Enabling/disabling/changing Hardware wallet's PIN/passphrases. I have no idea why, but KeepKey's official software client does not have some important features, so I included some of them in the app.

Hi there, I see the new version import the data from the old one, great!
So, anyone know in wich directory are they stored? I would like to save it in other laptop but I can't find it,( and don't know how a standalone works:oops:). Many thanks:)

on mac i believe it is
user - library - application support - MN (conf file inside)
 
@kointrend Configuration file location:
  • Windows: C:\Users\<UserName>\DashMasternodeTool\config.ini
  • Mac: /Users/<UserName>/DashMasternodeTool/config.ini
  • Linux: /home/<UserName>/DashMasternodeTool/config.ini
In the next version I will add the ability to save the configuration file from the application.

I assume, that you already have your 1000 Dash collateral on any of your Trezor accounts.

If so:
1) Open https://wallet.trezor.io and enter your Trezor credentials
2) Navigate to your collateral account on the left side and read BIP32 Path on the right side, as on the screen below:

If your collateral funds are not on your Trezor's account, you have to send them and wait for required number of block confirmations (15). Remember, that after moving your funds, you get new transaction hash (and index), which has to be applied to your masternode configuration.

the collateral path is m/44/ 5/2 ... thing huh ? or the wallet address where my 1000 dash are ?
 
The collateral path is the BIP32 path of the address where are your 1000 dash stored. At the moment, the app requires you to enter the BIP32 path and with that it reads its related Dash address - to do this, click the tiny button with the icon of the right arrow. In the future I'll make in a bit more simple, because not everyone knows what BIP32 path is and how to get it.
 
The miners and masternodes get half / half from new block found + all kind of fees.

I got this message after clicking 'Transfer funds from...' -

-5: No information available for address

It goes on to suggest running dashd with the -reindex option... That was 15 minutes ago - not for the feint of heart! ;)

i did wallet - tools - reindex
did not work
i force quit
then
reindex=1
to dash.conf file
open wallet again
when wallet opens it WILL reindex
while wallet open i erase the reindex=1 from conf file (otherwise it will reindex each time)
am still reindexing (will update guide when i am sorted)

Bertrand messaged on slack:
"this is a result of a new functionality of DMT, introduced in v 0.9.4, of checking if your collateral address really contains 1000 Das transaction.
It invokes to dashd RCP some additional commands requiring indexing enabled. You can treat this as a warning and click the Yes buton - it then behaves as a previos DMT version, which didn’t care about the 1000 Dash collateral.(edited)
It’s worth of adding these additional parameters to that dashd, which you use for communication with the DMT, because its another new features (as sending funds) will not work otherwise.
After enabling indexing in your dash.conf you need to restart dashd with -reindex argument as some pointed out. On my MN indexing takes about an hour or two, but from my experience it will not result in kicking off of your current payment queue, so while doing reindexing dashd seems to carry out its normal operation.(edited)
But anyways, the best moment for enabling indexing is the moment just after receiving your MN payment."

Now I can add some dash to buy food with my Dash DebitCard!
Should get a payment soon, sending some tip aswell! Keep up the good work!
 
I wish to move my masternode funds to a KeepKey. I have downloaded DMT 0.9.4.
I use Windows 10 and use a hosting service instead of running my own VPS.

Please could someone give me the noobs guide to starting a masternode from a KeepKey. Also, any security information I should be aware of.

@Acedian, a good start is to follow @tungfa's article: https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=106885788
As a hardware wallet he mentions Trezor, but for Keepkey all steps are identical - you only need to change one switch on the DMT main window, from "Trezor" to "Keepkey".

In a week or so, I'll release a new DMT version, which will make some things a bit easier for newbies:
- it will eliminate the need for time-consuming preparation of your own dash daemon with indexing enabled (sections 2-4 from @tungfa's doc)
- finding the correct collateral transaction ID/Index will be included in the app (@tungfa's section 9, 10)

If, anyway, you still have some problems with following for @tunfa's doc, feel free to ask.
