we kind of worked out that we should have a separate Thread going to start a list, to get certain things into place before the next RC release, open source and such.
I invite you all (from over there) to start working on this list here (it was suggested that that is easier than in the other thread)

(double check all pages drktalk, btctalk, Wiki,.... that really all the newest versions and updates are in place) for now RC4 .... RC5 we worry about when it comes

- New Wallets out and running solid
(DRKLord disappeared since 12th Aug, i tried to contact him, but not sure where he is hiding !?)
it would definitely be great to get that new wallet (with all updates) and that great design out ASAP
*is there anything we can do about the issue with the .32 wallet, that people have to start a new wallet to be save. (a lot of people have problems/are afraid/ do not know how to do it... even it is easy as chips) Maybe we need a pdf instruction for that ?!

- Darkcoin Foundation with mission statement ready to go.
i believe fernando is on the board on the Foundation, maybe he can let us know if there is anything we can do to help and speed up the process

- All bugs resolved and testing community is in sync to verify that everyone is happy. WE NEED A PERIOD OF NO CHANGES/UPDATES AND STABILITY IN TESTNET & or Pilot mainnet users before releasing to the general public. (fingers crossed)

- Kristov Atlas review and any findings re-mediated and verified by Kristov
(i guess he is in touch with the Dev Team regarding that, i believe they will sort it out)

- Official documentation explaining how to use darksend+ in a proper PDF and on new website.
(I believe there is a new webpage in the works, Tante wrote a great piece regarding DS+ we can probably use that and link it in)

- Official press release statements ready for PRWeb, Wired, Coindesk etc.
Good thinking, but we might only know what is coming after the release ?! This is something we should hear about from the Dev Team, what/when there thoughts are on this !!

- Give prior warning and enough time for all pools MN operators to update.
There is a pool police in place as i recall, we should get them on board and see if we can help them in any way

I was just over there checking it out and in.
WHOWWW these guys are doing an amazing job and are hard at work !!
Keep it going and coming .... no need to worry about them and that webpage !
(it is pretty advanced and should be in time .... no rush please !!)

Well, concerning wallet UI, this is a start. DRKLord is not on Skype either, I think he is on holiday.

We can do magic with only updating the most important stuff for now. (If you ask me.)
 
Excellent thanks for this tungfa - lets keep this thread live all the way to the end and constantly update. This thread should be the heartbeat and pulse of the community before open source release to ensure we are all in sync!

Just a thought we should keep the OP with a checklist style post thats always up to date with status updates of each of the tasks.

Will be back on testnet tonight with lots of coins denominating :)

Minotaur was quite involved with this and I know he is eager to advance but hasn't heard from DRKLord either. He has much work already done.

vertoe I am eager to get going again with the new GUI, if you pm me an address I can send you the photoshop or illustrator files of what we have so far. I will take a look at those links you posted. Best time for me to work is Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm CST. I will take a look and check in with you tomorrow.

I talked to @verteo, Propulsion if I can post this one as a OP, unfortunately that does not work with single posts in a Thread …. so we gotta do it like this.
Any suggestions, please let me know ! I have never done anything like this so please bare with me and comment any ideas/tips/complains/…. and we sort it out

I think at this point we need to keep momentum going with the new wallet GUI - this looks to be the trailing piece of the puzzle. Hope we can get someone to take over or DRKLord gets better soon :)
 
On 1. As you said, writers welcome!

On 4. We are doing all the paperwork for the incorporation of the foundation and preparing the internals. We'll have the bylaws and mission statement very soon.

On 7. TanteStefana already gave us permission to use her great Darksend tutorial in the new website. We need to do some updating and editing (the wallet has changed a bit in the last couple versions), but it will be there.

ja tante's story was really nice, i am shopping around for Writers, here and on BTCtalk, lets see if i can find anybody , will keep you posted.
