It seems possible for certain offshore locations to double the CPU Core & Diskspace & RAM of an offered VPS, which means that people could run an Evonode on this as well. If the customized price is right for them.

6 Cores (3.5Ghz), 160GB Disk, 8GB RAM seems possible on the above according to chat support for people to run an Evonode. People will need to create a ticket, after which a customized proforma invoice will be created for approval. Not sure an Evonode needs 6 cores, or can just operate with 3 cores, but i do know it require roughly double diskspace (?) and double RAM to run an Evonode as it needs to support both L1 & L2.

I am currently using about 58GB of diskspace on my Evonode, so 80GB of diskspace will be cutting it close.
With regards to RAM i am only used to large RAM on my VPS (16 GB and now 32 GB) and here the RAM usage is just consistently increasing over time under Docker for me (currently at 5.2 GB RAM usage, after server reboot on 11th of March 2025). Not sure how RAM usage will behave under Docker with 8GB RAM, but it seems better then having just 4GB RAM.

Update : this seems to be an Intel Xeon E3 cpu (DeepSeek suspect it is this cpu --> https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...1240-v5-8m-cache-3-50-ghz/specifications.html) that is missing AVX-512 as additional instruction set extension. This will most likely give a problem with Evonodes --> https://github.com/dashpay/platform/issues/2442

Unless DCG fixes above Platform issue (where AVX-512 is suddenly required), i would not recommend it for setting up an Evonode unless provider confirm the cpu in question support AVX-512 (and x86-64-V3). People can setup Evonodes without cpu's supporting AVX-512 by using a specific Platform dev build, but that dev build will strip off all additional instruction set extensions and could therefore be a bit slower. And i am not sure how long DCG will continue supporting people having a VPS without AVX-512 through specific Platform dev builds.
