I can see some BIG Corporation swooping in and Patenting all of DASHs accomplishments :-(

in my opinion patent isn't an issue. even if everybody just copy dash and put different name

there is no network behind it. Just like bitcoin vs namecoin

Although I hope to see more work towards development that is only for dash..

such as decentralized trading platform that trades crypto, currency, and intellectual property denominated in dash.
