Dash on Warsaw Block on 25.08.2016 ?

Hello Community,

I got invited to the monthly Bitcoin meetup in Warsaw. The meetup takes place on 25th of August 2016 in Microsoft offices in Warsaw.
The audience is usually Bitcoin enthusiasts and entrepreneurs from blockchain/IT startups. The organizer told me that there is an interest in Dash during those meetups, however there was no person, who could present it. I would be happy to present Dash and it's advantages to the Polish Bitcoin Community and make some new connections there (I am Polish myself, so it would be relatively easy for me). I guess it would be also a great promotion of our project in Eastern Europe.

My question would be if the Dash Masternode network would reimburse the cost of my flight to Warsaw, if I submit the proposal?
The cost would be about 200 CHF for flights only. I do not need accommodation cost reimbursed, as I have a place to stay in Warsaw.

This proposal seeks funding for Warsaw Block expenses. Warsaw Block is a monthly blockchain, Bitcoin and startup event organized by satoshi.pl (https://satoshi.pl/)

There are two items included in this budget.
  • Color double-sided hardstock handouts / brochures
  • Travel costs

Requested funding is as follows for the September budget cycle:
  • 2.00 Dash for color handouts (c.a. 100 PLN)
  • 5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
  • 16.00 Dash for travel costs (189.00 CHF)
Total: 23 Dash

Note: Any unused funds from this conferences and travel budget will be directed toward other future conferences-related expenses.

I think this is a great idea
as we know the polish dash community has been with us for a long time and is very active
a presentation from a core team member would be a great symbol to them and sure many Newcommers !

Great to have DASH exposure in Poland as well.
 
Is it like a formal presentation (like at d10e) or is it more an informal meetup? If you are preparing a presentation, is there any way you could have it video recorded? Would be willing to fund a little extra for that

Great initiative Kot. Voting for your proposal. Can I suggest a few things?

Instead of talking about the Evolution terms like DashDrive and Sentinal, communicate that in a way most people can understand. So use user account information and programmable budget system instead. Same goes for the brochures - think simple - InstantSend, PrivateSend, Sustainable Nodes, Sustainable Development, and the key features that set Dash apart.

Sometimes we are too close to the information and get carried away with the terms we have defined and should be communicating on the same level as the audience.

Don't forget to add information about the Jaxx iphone wallet and the Dash Android wallets on your brochure so the audience can download while they are there.

This is exactly what I am going to present - some basic information about Dash, its cool features (InstantSend, PrivateSend, DGBB) and Dash advantages over current financial system. There will be also slide about Evo.
However I am not going to share any technical information - only message understandable to the average person.
