As promised in my previous post about our commitment to transparency and full disclosure of our efforts and results. I'm proud to publish the monthly web stats report for the May period. The website is over 6 weeks old after launching on 17th April 2017. Dash Force News is and remains the number 1 news publication resource for Dash. The team wishes to expand our outreach and continue to deliver high quality content and breaking news to the community.

May was a fantastic month for the website. I look forward to the future exploring and delivering more video content for website and launching Dash Force China which I will also provide monthly reports on.

I give my thanks to all who supported us and voted for our recent Dash Force proposal. It is very much appreciated.

In true Dash Force style we will continue to expand, improve and increase our efforts in spreading awareness of Dash.

June-September

The Dash Force Team has been very busy the last several months with the Testnet contest, Dash Force meetup and presentation contests as well as the Bitfinex and Wall of Coins contests. We have also managed several different DashForce_tips contests/task as well as created the slack Mod Squad program and helped out the #women_of_dash with a small tipping budget. We have sponsored bug bounties for the Dash.org website and successfully helped on several other community related task. The last major initiative was the General Bytes Dash CTM/ATM thunderclap social media campaign that successfully reached around 500,000 people on Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms.


Over the last several months myself @mastermined, Mark Mason @niburuhybrid, Joel Valenzuela @thedesertlynxand other Swarm members have been heavily engaged in YouTube and Reddit debates with conversations lasting hours and going on for days/weeks.
Now that the Dash Force News website is complete we will once again refocus our efforts on Swarm Troll Patrol and be able to spend more time on community building and outreach. We will also be launching an updated Meetup and presentation contest to focus on merchant adoption, a new website (Discover Dash) as well as two new YouTube based contest.



Discover Dash:
In an effort to provide the Dash community with the necessary resources to reach mass adoption as quickly as possible, we have started DiscoverDash.com, a merchant listing and adoption website. This will provide support for adoption activists like Amanda B. Johnson to use, give new users and businesses all the resources they need to start using Dash, and provide a powerful visual statement of how strong and diverse the Dash economy has become.

Dash Force is launching a new contest to reward the top 5 Dash YouTube videos and channels. The the top 5 YT videos and/or channels will each receive 1 Dash apiece at the end of the July cycle.

In June we experienced phenomenal growth and doubled our average daily traffic from previous month. We also smashed through the 100K site visitors metric. Moving forward we have lots in store for July with some announcements in closing statement of the report that I believe the community will be excited to learn.

Dash Force News is and remains the number 1 news publication resource for Dash. The Dash Force team will be expanding in July transitioning and focussing on growth in terms of international outreach. We will continue to deliver high quality content and breaking news to the community. We have also launched a dedicated Dash Force News Telegram Channel so you can now get notifications on your phone as soon as we publish news on the site.

Hi, new guy here trying to come up to speed on everything. One of the things that caught my eye in your notes was the social media swarm. I'm not big on social media, but I definitely see the need for this. One of the websites I frequent is Zerohedge. They have a large and very financially savvy audience - great for crypto. The site owner is generally pro bitcoin and usually puts several crypto articles a month there. They are typically bitcoin focused with some attention on ethereum and the crypto space in general. The comments after the articles are a free for all - unmoderated and full of crypto misconceptions. Bitcoin enthusiasts battling it out with gold bugs, etc. Anyway, long story short I think the comment section of these articles would be a great place to direct a Swarm to promote DASH. Let me know what you think or if you need any other info. Thanks!

@Mark Mason , @mastermined - I like all the timely original content on DFN. Great job!

I've been trying to think of ways to get wider audiences exposure to good DASH stories. I wonder if it could be made more effective at reaching non-DASH owners by first submitting some article ideas to the other cryptocurrency news sites. Let these guys steal some thunder from DFN and let them publish first. You can even try writing some articles for them to see if they will publish to a wider audience we are trying to reach.

If they publish it, great! You can privately take credit for it here. You can also edit the story from a slightly different angle and still publish to DFN a few days later. If they don't pick up the story, just publish to DFN as originally intended.

Has this been tried/considered? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Thanks to all masternode owners for their votes so far. I want to add that we have some big things planned for the rest of this year, including expanding video content beyond the weekly recap and the Three Amigos to include regular interviews with industry heavy-hitters, regular appearances on other media networks, and possibly a new show coming soon. In addition, we're expanding DiscoverDash to include how-to guides for merchants and users (including videos) to make the site a one-stop shop for anyone seeking to get into Dash, in addition to the nearly 300 Dash-accepting businesses around the world we've listed so far. Finally,we are lining up in-person conference speaking appearances all around the world for our team to take Dash to new audiences.

I flew to Ireland to cover the Festy Dash sponsorship of the Irish Global Pubs awards plus a weekend trip to Bristol City to do a report on the Dash sponsored Circus City festival.

Those statistics are great to see, thanks for the transparency.

Any idea why traffic was down in October? Were you guys running ads in September that you weren't in October, or do you think that it was the London Conference that drew in more visitors?
 
Good job. What are your thoughts on how to increase viewers and keep them on site longer? Also, youtube seems to of
plateaued, any ideas on how to increase subscriptions? Thanks.

There may have been a few contributing factors, and we're looking into them. Part of it is just momentum around price increases, and the time since the conference wasn't very good for price. A good part of it has been experimenting with new kinds of content that didn't perform as well (for example, before we covered one non-Dash story every week and related it back to Dash, those tend to do very well for views, but we haven't done many recently). Some of it has also been Reddit censorship, which we may have found an approach to. Either way though, expect us to finish out the year very strong, lots of new things are in the works.

YouTube is probably because we, again, experimented with a few different types of content to see what worked, and had a rush of early enthusiasm. Also, I've been traveling for a while and haven't been able to get video interviews going, and have intentionally held off since before all videos had to be edited and uploaded by Mark, overworking the poor chap even more than usual. Now we're set up to distribute the video workload, so expect plenty of good stuff coming soon.

And yes, new video content offerings as well. Exciting rest of the year!
 
@jeffh @GrandMasterDash and anyone else, you'll be pleased to know that November was our best month yet! September and October we had a downward trend, as well as half of November, but we managed to turn the month around and beat even August's high.
