Summary:

Develop the first DASH gateway for DASH – COP (Colombian Pesos,) MXN (Mexican Pesos), VEF (Venezuelan Fuerte) on Latin-America to ease the adoption of digital payments from anywhere. Targeting a cross-country expansion around latin america. Ease the adoption and reception with cryptocurrencies on any establishment from street sellers to large companies and online businesses.

Who we are:

My name is Arley Lozano, aka Vakano user and specialist of cryptocurrency and mining. Me along the team of software developers Chrstian Rojas and Javier Bayona we have a startup that wants to become the first in latinamerica to hold a gateway based on DASH that can make it easy for merchants to receive payments on their local currency with no complications.

The project we are developing has a reach on all type of businesses and even people with no computer or smartphones can have access through SMS technology.

Targets:

  • Offline payments - (only need to receive SMS alerts only needs to receive on cancelations)
  • Online shopping – Integration with web apps and massive reach not only locally but globally thanks to DASH
  • POS Integration – popular accounting and point of sale solutions. (future phase)
  • Business integration – to a macro level implementations (future phase)

Our solution will solve the problem of users needing to have extensive technological knowledge of exchanging from crypto to fiat on a recurring time slot, it can be 5 to 7 business days depending on the type of business.

Our process will allow the user to type the price quote and type of cryptocurrency and in return it will display a QR code or special token code.

At the moment is more about structure and requirements, we still dont have a verification on all costs as well as defining the stages since this is a long term project. We would need to define subprojects.
 
We need to put all in order to check the phases of the project and claculate the individual cost. Sort it out and put it on behalf of the dash community
 
We are Working on something similar in denmark. This clearly Sounds like a commercial business. I am surprised as in why you would want to get funded.
 
thanks for your reply Instacoins, this is not the only company that seeks funding, many others such as wall of coins, alt35, and others seek funding from the DASH community to further the availability of DASH around the world. From DASH ATM, to POS integrations, all these represent business for the administrators, and I understand is a 'grey area' but I see it as a form of ICO in the DASH community and just like Ryan Taylor said, we need to enterprise many new things so DASH can really grow exponentially more than sequentially.
 
So what exactly is the product? There is a team of software developers, you want to make a fiat gateway and it has something to do with SMS? How would it work?
 
Well the "growth" shouldnt be exponentially. Thats the last thing everyone should want. I do already have issues with purchasing dash in decent quantities to market price. dash/BTC is currently stabilazing at 0.05 BTC which is nice. I wouldnt pay money to destroy that. We are currently setting up an exchange in denmark. We have made some nice contacts to fight the chargeback Problem. If you dont have sufficient investment for your idea maybe we can coorperate in a certain way. I do think that coorperations in the crypto world should work a lot closer together.
 
Personally integrations I feel never work. It gets us abolutly no where. We need to create our own infrastructure and in doing so others will create infrastructure around us.
 
You might want to see what @kodaxx is up to... There's been a lot of money thrown at this fiat gateway stuff with no results, not to mention how late to the game it all is... The MNOs seem to have no concern for follow through or competence...

Had it ready to go 2 years ago...

I agree that they are too late and I also dont think it will get a majority. If you had this ready 2 years ago you could have made shit loads of money when china started having visa cards problem last year. I also did excessive research prior to starting develop this in dash and I couldnt find anything. Why have you not launched your project?
 
Hello everyone. Vakano travelled from Cucuta Colombia to Medellin Colombia and met with me and Paula tonight. We discussed at length how he can improve his business plan and his proposal to the masternode community. It was an interesting meeting. Vakano has a longstanding reputation in the bitcoin community and represents bitcoin.com in Colombia. Paula and I plan to visit Vakano in Cucuta later this year. Saludos amigos!

Personally I think the proposal needs to be completely re-done and needs to implement another idea. We can't force these businesses to accept Dash, it needs to happen naturally as people start to see it's value.

I don't think we should even think about creating gateways for businesses to just dump Dash for fiat, that is just the worst idea. It causes the coin to drop in value as it's spent. but yet one did just get passed for a Dash to fiat gateway... A fiat to Dash gateway is great, and that proposal got shut down.... so I'm lost lol does Dash want people to sell their Dash? Are we really finding it so hard to buy something with Dash that we are completely fine if the merchant just sells it when you buy something ? The whole entire idea doesn't make sense.

The way We see it, this project will help to increase the acceptance and circulation of Dash, which is the purpose of every crypto currency, for example, we're in the limits with Venezuela which is a market that struggles controlling their currency inflation. Giving them the opportunity of buying products for basic sustenance here in Colombia using Dash, is going to create an effect of use of the currency, and knowing the past effects with this kind of changes in trading rules, it will create a domino effect, even causing people who already has another crypto currency, to change it for Dash, just for make it useful.

Also, when the merchants understands the increaseable value of the currency, will want to keep their dash, we know that because we have test this idea with some local merchants and those who truly understands the power of Dash, have said it'll be great being able to keep those Dash received as payments.

With that said, in summary, we're in front of the opportunity to make Dash not just to grow in capital, but also making them an alternative to economy and money circulation.

I still don't understand what you are even trying to develop. If I am an end user how would I use this service? Take me through the process flow.

I truly think our only option is to not create the fiat gateway for merchants. You'll start to see merchants having more stories like the "10,000 bitcoin pizza" story. Imagine that pizza place could create a huge franchise just because of 1 purchase and build a huge empire just from accepting crypto.

we need to see acceptance first for adoption. And merchants immediately selling Dash when received isn't acceptance

About that pizza story just to give some facts, I know from the principal source that was slightly different, the bitcoin buyer(already interested in buying cryptocurrencies) just sent a pizza and payed with real money, and the guys who received the pizza sent the coins to the buyer, so the pizza place wasn't involved, also it would be so difficult to create that kind of trust in a commercial business already constituted.

And about the fear of losing capital, we have to be conscious that the economic system can't be changed instantly, we understand the philosophy of cryptocurrencies is precisely generate that change gradually. Currently, the dash users can use a debit card, but that would represent a biggest outflow of the total capital of dash, we're offering the opportunity of use just the amount they need for an specific trade.

Also, just to make the things clear, the business owners will fix the prices in the local fiat, but in the moment of payment the amount of dash will be calculated according to the current market value.
