Conflict with OS X Dash.app

Hello,

I already had the documentation browser Dash.app installed before installing Dash-QT.

Now both apps are storing their app data in the same ~/Library/Application Support/Dash/ folder.

So far, I have not noticed any conflicts, but there could be unintended consequences further down the road.

Is this a known issue? And is anyone trying to find a better long-term resolution?

Thanks in advance.

Good find, we did not know this yet.

There is a way to move the datadir of the Dash wallet to a custom location, but this involves creating a small Apple script for launching and passing some parameters to it (below are screenshots for former Darkcoin client, but Dash works the same)

Let me know if the screenshots are sufficient to help you out.

Thanks for the quick reply. It looks clear enough from the screenshots.

I'll probably pass for now, since this probably would not persist across future app updates, right?

In any case, there doesn't seem to be an conflict now. The other Dash.app just stores documentation datasets in there.

Thanks again.

The launcher script would survive future updates, as its not part of the dmg packaging.

If you want to try it out and need further support let me know.
