Sure. You can make bootable USB flash drive with live Linux and configure it to run miner sw at startup.

I have two PCs booting up usb drives with Pimp Linux images and mining p2pool. It was quite easy to get it all going, I'm using NiceHash's miner (had to compile it) and with W0lf's bins.
