Regarding blockchain identities, a recent DCG statement said, "As such it would be premature to share any information as specifics are still not finalized.".
I can understand how a well thought out plan is desirable but I'm concerned there may be too much secrecy around this. I'm sure the community would heavily debate the pros and cons of various functions but equally I don't want to see massive mistakes or poorly made assumptions. If the community can't be trusted to discuss this fairly, then at least consult with impartial outsiders instead of keeping this all to yourself. Blockchain Identities is too big to get wrong.
