Are ring signatures still going to be implemented?

I'm looking at a Tweet posted in 2014 stating that ring sigs would be implemented in DASH.

Is this still on the cards? Anyone know?

It was considered, but ultimately decided against in favor of off-chain mixing. Personally, I would still like to see MN blinding implemented, especially given most of that code has already been written, but I suspect we will also see additional privacy layers in Evolution.
