I read the article earlier today. Aside from the ridiculous price, I was wondering about the cooling. Is it really that good on scrypt? Is it needed on X11?

The cooling seems to work pretty well, temperatures are just fine for a 2-gpus card. Let's wait for more info!

Can't see why anyone would buy one at all. AMD have sat on their arses for too long, something competitive power wise with the Maxwell architecture would be good...

You can get a full rig second hand, with warranties, through the flea bay etc for that amount...
