Since Andrew is here to answer technical/philosophical questions, I'll take the boring business ones.
1. Laissez Faire Financial, LLC was incorporated, and is headquartered, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, U.S.A. We have subsidiaries in Berlin, Germany, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
2. We are self funded. We have no need for outside investors at this time.
3. If you mean high profile as in popular in the media, then no. However, Andrew is (quietly) one of the earliest and most successful Bitcoin entrepreneurs in the world.
4. No. Currently, the only board members of LZF are Andrew Tepper and Daniel Pusateri. Andrew's game, Dragon's Tale, is the longest running Bitcoin business in the world and 4th largest Bitcoin-based casino by volume. Daniel has (under NDA) worked for significantly high traffic websites.
5. Triumph Bank is one. We'll announce the others soon.
6. The only insurance applicable to our users would be through our banking relationships for USD deposits (i.e., FDIC and the carefully structured repurchase agreement). To be more precise about that - If the bank (i.e., the custodian of funds) is hacked, this is insured. If your account is hacked at LZF, this is not insured.
7. We are available worldwide except for New York, U.S.A., and some odd countries including those to which the U.S. has established embargoed goods and services with (i.e., North Korea).
8.
* Our algorithm
* Our reputation for security: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/security-bounty-attempts-spike-ps-coin/
* Our automated banking implementation
* We're U.S.-based and regulated
* We have the fastest USD deposits and withdrawals (both domestically and internationally) of any Bitcoin exchange or brokerage
1. PS Key (the strongest 2FA in the world) is currently only available on iPhone. (Note: The decentralized version of the algorithm is open source.) You can add and verify a phone for 2FA as well.
2. Our phone service provider does not support Bolivian numbers at this time. Please contact support to see if we can find a work around for you [email protected]
3. You can use our service. There is no need for a provision, but you will not be able to "instantly" KYC verify. It may take some hours. We hope to be able to instantly KYC verify international users via their passport numbers in the coming weeks.
Hi Teppy ,
Glad to see you are on board. I have a few questions as I am quite interested in using your exchange:
1. Where are you incorporated? Can you elaborate on this please?
2. Who are your angels and/or investment syndicate?
3. Do you have any high profile Bitcoiners backing your project?
4. Any high profile people on your board?
5. What banks are you guys using?
6. What happens if you guys get hacked, do you have insurance? Who insures you?
7. Can anyone use your exchange or are you limited to a single country?
8. Any other info you can provide us as to why we should use you guys would be great.
Best,
Pablo.

I have another couple comments:
1. I can't sign up for 2FA becuase the app you guys use is only on iphone; I use Authy. Am I missing something?
2. I live in Bolivia but you guys only auto verify phones in 3 countries. Whats up with that? I got virifeid on Coinbase no problem.
3. Have you made prevision for people like me who bank in the U.S. but live abroad?
Thanks,
Pablo.
