This is a message from somebody i know
he is an older american man, always interested in investments, i met him sunday for lunch as he was here on a scouting trip to china to looks for factories to buy / invest in

i mentioned darkcoin casual to him and showed him the webpage
today this message came to the Foundation Webpage:

Department: Press

Comments : Tungfa, If you hope to make this currency mainstream, you've got to translate all this super technical language into a plain English story that joe sixpack can understand.

I am putting this up here to show everybody (incl myself) that we have to "simplify" our (Tech) language
as much as possible to really be open and attract newbies and none crypto people !

I know there is a long way to go (as for now it is mainly crypto investors) but still we should try to keep things as "simple" as possible.

example
- Less Linux / more Mac and PC
- Less Crypto Language / more 'normal' finance/ tech talk
- In Guides/ Webpages/ .....>>

Well there is much to it. As an editor by trade and an occasional writer I know the serial crime of all bad writers is the desire to appear 'fancy.' In our case that means appearing technical. The plain fact is most potential Darkcoiners will never operate a mastermode, will never mine, and will never use Linux. It is important we have people, and guides, covering all these, but for the majority of people what counts is, 'can I spend it?' Or, for the traders, if I invest will I profit down the line (this can only occur if the value rises from users seeing it as a *currency* to be spent)?

I like to think about future main stream scenario where I would like to use DRK. For example all things considered stable prices and unlimited tech: its pay day I buy some DRK from my favorite exchange which is automatically sent to the wallet address on my phone. I set the mobile wallet to mix automatically while I head out for the evening. By the time I finish and pay for dinner I have anonymous coins mixed to pay with at my favorite restaurant. A night at the movies follows and another anonymous DRK instantX transaction for my tickets and movie snacks. The weekend goes on and all my transactions were anonymous, no one is going to try to market me for products based on my purchases now. It's about privacy which consumers are just becoming aware now with the leaking of all their information that is tied into credit cards.

Classic marketing supposes "market segmentation" - different people care about different things and speak different languages.
And It is required different approaches to target them all effectively.

Basically, we need a set of quite different promos:
1. "Darkcoin for Bitcoin enthusiasts" - comparison, all possible technical details.
2. "Darkcoin for your privacy" - everything about Darksend, comparison with Bitcoin mixers, using Tor, "now-to-do-..." and so on...
3. "Darkcoin for investors" - ways to earn money with DRK - longterm analyst, graph of Masternode payments rising, ...
4. "Darkcoin for your business" - how to accept DRK, exchange, ...
5. ...
