A Dash promotional bus opportunity (EU)

I've been mulling this over for a while but I'm too busy with the ATM and vending business. Plus, I'm sure the Masternodes want to see some results from me before I submit another proposal. I decided to share this in case someone else wants to give it a shot.

There's a bus for sale from a major French city water provider. They modified the bus to VASP, meaning it can be driven with a non-commercial heavy license type C. It has hardwood floors and 220v installed. It has a dvd player and 7 tactile screens you can collect emails with. It was used to educate people on their business.

The bus is negotiable at 10k euros, would need a new Dash vinyl wrap and operating costs. But if anyone in the Dash community is looking to do EU promotions, this would be an easy way.

I think for about 25k euros or less you could have a mobile Dash promotion platform. Worth thinking about!

BTW, there are some articles about your proposal.

I would like to see you coming forward about this issue. Since I tend to agree with the original writer of that post, about thinking you wanted to have an ATM and not just a 'seed capital for an ATM business' that will take longer. In other words, I would have thought the money will have gone into purchasing and installing the ATM only, not use it to pay lawyers, marketing, corporation registry paperwork, insurance, hire people, etc.

FYI: I hold no association with that website or the author.

On your current idea, I heard it before from a friend, that wanted to buy a truck (using DASH treasury) and drive through (latinamerica) promoting DASH. Although I did mentioned that it has been done before (with the 100 businesses in 100 days campaign) I wasn't sure its so beneficial to the network as a whole. I would rather want to see maybe fund or target more centralized group of businesses like a chamber of commerce and approach 100 businesses in a handful of presentations.

Firstly I was forthcoming in my proposal that I still needed to lock down a location. Also, the amount given will not cover the entire cost of the machine, so everything else is out of my pocket. I understand the skepticism but it seems like a few in the Dash community have no realistic view on how difficult it is to buy and sell Dash. If you're an old pro it's not a problem, but the rest of the world needs convenience. Also, I have to sell Dash from a wallet, which means I'm subject to big risks like theft and price fluctuations. Get General Bytes to enable Dash buy and sell from an exchange and then maybe you can convince ATM operators to enable Dash, until then, it's only people like me who are willing to take a risk because we believe in Dash. That article is just one guy's opinion and he made no effort to contact me. So it's really just a slander piece from someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. It's not even signed.

If you want to be effective with Dash promotion, you need to draw people to you. Sponsor nights at night clubs and park the bus outside. Get people wallets with Dash and hold email raffles to give larger sums away. If you truely want Dash to pass BTC, you have to have fungibility and usability. Otherwise, it's just a novelty that is quickly forgotten. Get some major retailers to accept Dash and the sky is the limit.

So then why you put a proposal for something that had too much risk. We are not your partner, this wasnt a venture we were 'taking risks'. I read your proposal and seemed and sounded like you had everything worked out. Even read your complain from the proposal from NJ, saying he just copy paste your proposal and that you have done so much more research than him, like having an insurance and other services to transport the money back and forth. In the end I thought you had everything worked out just to acquire it, getting it on the mail and plug it to the wall, and be done in 1 week tops. Everything more would have been disappointing and would have think twice, I think most MN were on my same situation.

Just to put another example, there was a guy in Asia who didn't get funded and he even submitted pictures of his other (bitcoin-only) CTMs. But maybe his bad english sounded a bit arrogant by saying that if the 7k weren't supplied he will still put the Bitcoin CTM but not the DASH ones and this rubbed people the wrong way getting flooded with No votes.

Alright, I can see you have no real contributions. This is off topic anyways. My proposal was clear if you read the discussion that a location was still pending. I'm not going to answer to you for your assumptions. I'm more than happy to keep the masternode owners and community up to date with the project but if your upset that it takes a few months that's on you.

Also, as I said on slack. In April I was in the hospital for most of the month. I had a partial colectomy and my appendix removed if you really want to know.

Actually you havent answer it yet. The question is why you thought you needed the money if you didnt have a place to put it?

It must really irritate you that the Masternode holders decided it was a worthwhile project. If you have anything to say on subject then I'll answer, if not can you take your angst somewhere else?
