    Dash Lite Fork

Let me put this in a kinder way. It's in the interest of the MNOs to be gifted an alternate version of Dash over which they have no control.

    Dash Lite Fork

The codebase is far enough along to launch a new version of Dash in a new direction. The key was to get LLMQ working. We don't need the dopey DAO and we don't need the asinine "Dash Community."

    Dash Lite Fork

And in summary... Let's face it. The DAO has become infested with self-serving mediocrities and outright con artists. And now Andy Freer has enlisted these bottom-feeders on a scorched-earth campaign to "decentralize" Dash (i.e., dismantle DCG and take control of core dev). The reason this is...

Some thoughts on Joel's interview with pasta [updated].

    An apt metaphor IMHO. Enjoy.

What happened to dash? Be sick?

Dash's greatest problem, which is also its greatest advantage, is the treasury. The Dash treasury attracts all manner of money-grubbing mediocrities, lying sociopaths, con artists posing as entrepreneurs, and of course, we now have the new savior Andy Freer turning the place upside-down right as...

    Dash Lite Fork

Our journey to the promised land of Evo adoption is not assured. We have to avoid the following pitfalls: 1. Evo is never released. This could happen if some people here succeed in destroying DCG and we no longer have a competent CTO. 2. Evo is released but it's lame. If contact list privacy...

Some thoughts on Joel's interview with pasta [updated].

DCG saved this project from oblivion, and now these people want to undermine DCG for their own benefit. It's appalling. According to Dante's Inferno, the final layer of the Ninth Circle of Hell is reserved for those who have betrayed their masters; benefactors, or people who have supported them...

Some thoughts on Joel's interview with pasta [updated].

I think I mean to say that Mark, Andy and Hilawe have breached their fiduciary duty. My bad. https://www.rocketlawyer.com/article/what-is-a-breach-of-fiduciary-duty-and-how-to-avoid-it-cb.rl "A breach of fiduciary duty occurs when the fiduciary acts in the interest of themselves, rather than...

Some thoughts on Joel's interview with pasta [updated].

"Ryan can fire me I don't care." -- pasta NOW do you see why it was a mistake to upvote the PROTOCOL-DEVELOPER-INCENTIVES-FUND? "InstandSend can only process eighteen transactions per second." -- pasta Instead of adding insanely great features how about fixing this feature we already have...

    Dash Lite Fork

You don't think it's a good idea? I'm not here to make friends. You've got a lot of swagger for someone who's been here less than three months.

    Dash Lite Fork

This is not about me @vampyren. I'm not forking anything. The way it would work is DCG would fire any developers who don't want to report to the CTO and lock them out of the github. At that point, Andy and the renegade developers would fork the coin if they had the cojones.

    Dash Lite Fork

I would rather fork the coin than convert Dash to a developer-run project with Andy Freer as alpha geek.
  13. Geert

    Dash Lite Fork

The fork would give every Dash HODLer free coins, and since there is no treasury to pay developers there won't be any new features. You are FUDDING my idea. There is no threat.

    Dash Lite Fork

This is a fork. It in no way prevents Dash from continuing on its current trajectory, It's the version of Dash for the normies who are currently HODLing things like Doge and Litecoin.

    Dash Lite Fork

What I am proposing has nothing whatsoever to do with the Lightening [sic] Network. It is a fork-- a new coin, and not a layer that settles on an existing blockchain.

    Dash Lite Fork

All this bullshit with Andy Freer and his agents trying to take control of the project has got me thinking. Maybe a simplified version of Dash should be spun off that does not include the "developer risk," the coinjoin stigma, and the nauseating governance/treasury system. What I am proposing is...

In order to preserve the considerable investment the DAO has in DCG...

IMHO we need to replace some devs here. This is a three billion dollar enterprise. The DAO cannot be held hostage by a few nerds.

In order to preserve the considerable investment the DAO has in DCG...

You can laugh all you want Agnew, but there are coins with NO DEVELOPERS that are worth more than Dash. None of the developers here are irreplaceable.

In order to preserve the considerable investment the DAO has in DCG...

and in order to preserve the integrity of the project, DCG has got to be prepared to fire any developers who do not agree to follow orders from DCG's CTO Bob Carroll. We can't have Andy Freer bribing DCG employees* and thereby directing what they work on. I'm sorry to have to say this, but there...

Allowing masternode owners to designate their nodes as non-mixing

How about adding a launch parameter to allow masternodes to opt out of mixing. If we make it optional, MNOs could decide for themselves if they want their masternodes mixing coins.
