Restore wallet can't select file darkcoin_wallet_backup_2014-xx-xx Not working

Another difference is that entering the incorrect password for a wallet file known to have been generated by the app usually generates the error "Could not decrypt bytes", but in this case opening the old wallet shows "invalid base64 encoding"

Restore wallet can't select file darkcoin_wallet_backup_2014-xx-xx Not working

Hi @HashEngineering I took a look at the file provided to me on Keybase by @Joe Baker and was able to open it in the Android app using the ES File Explorer process you described above, but we could not correctly guess the password. I noticed the app will attempt to open and decrypt any file...

    How do I buy Dash

Binance has really low fees if you choose to pay the fees using BNB. It kind of depends more on what you want to trade.

    Instantsend on Electrum DASH

Any update on this? Can IS be implemented using the current Electrum / ElectrumX codebase or is it necessary to wait for deterministic masternode lists before we can have IS on SPV wallets? How do the Android/iOS wallets implement this?

    The Birth Of Darkcoin

You can answer these questions yourself using a public block explorer for BTC, LTC and DASH. All of these older coins had interesting launches, with BTC getting stuck at block 14 within the first 24 hours, and LTC and DASH getting the difficulty wrong and releasing either too many blocks or...

Missing coins- how to get them back?

Hi there! You should post in the forum appropriate to the software you are using, but you haven't provided us with that information yet. Since it is a phone, it is probably Android or iOS? Are you using one of the official Dash mobile wallets? It can take some time to sync after entering the...

Restore wallet can't select file darkcoin_wallet_backup_2014-xx-xx Not working

I'm not aware of a procedure to determine which app created a wallet.dat file - it could well also be from Bitcoin, Litecoin or any other coin that uses the BerkelyDB file format to store key/value pairs. I'm happy to take a look with a hex editor and see what I can do: https://keybase.io/strophy

    Magento Extensions

Magento already has a functioning payment processor for Dash: CoinGate is tested and works fine. I'm not sure if it includes the ability to show prices in Dash - please give it a try and report back! Documentation on payment processors is here, please send any additions, corrections or updated...

    v12.2 Testing

Testnet documentation here: https://docs.dash.org/en/latest/developers/testnet.html All known faucets and block explorers are listed there. I agree getting tDASH is quite difficult at the moment, simply posting your address here or in #testnet-lab on Discord will often get you donations quite...

Plans on having DASH support atomic swaps

I've tested Dash on BLOCK DX and it worked fine - they say their exchange is a DEX based on atomic swaps, but the actual mechanism is having two fully synced core wallets on the machine (e.g. Bitcoin Core, Dash Core plus Blocknet Core and BLOCK DX). Once a trade (e.g. DASH-BTC) is made in BLOCK...

Pre-Proposal: Magento - Develop, maintain and promote a DASH Integration for Magento Shops

Actually, I started doing this myself yesterday out of curiosity. I may have overstated the number of functioning plugins.. GoCoin does not currently support Dash in their Magento plugin, which has not been updated in over 3 years and therefore almost certainly doesn't support...

Block 4137 (186,302.1943 DASH mined). What likely happened to the coins? Educated answers please.

Hey - I wasn't aware of this story before, and I love this sort of investigation, so I did a little digging. Here's my understanding: Block 4137 generated 500.058 DASH block reward in its coinbase transaction - 500 DASH plus fees. This is normal. Since there were no masternodes then, the entire...

Restore wallet can't select file darkcoin_wallet_backup_2014-xx-xx Not working

Good luck mate. Releases as old as 0.11.2.22 (2015-04-10) are available at https://github.com/dashpay/dash/releases and it should be fairly easy to build older versions from source: https://docs.dash.org/en/latest/developers/compiling.html#linux But these versions will no longer sync, they can...

Pre-Proposal: Magento - Develop, maintain and promote a DASH Integration for Magento Shops

Hi there! CoinPayments, GoCoin and CoinGate all already have Magento plugins that support Dash, and GoCoin also supports InstantSend, while CoinPayments offers fiat settlement. https://coingate.com/plugins/magento https://github.com/GoCoin/gocoin-magento...

is there a need to mix coins and use "private sent" ?

Yes. Using PrivateSend ensures that there is no change address that could potentially be used by a future attacker to link your addresses to a single wallet. It selects the best possible denominations to match the amount you are trying to send, and sends the remainder to the miner as a fee.

Restore wallet can't select file darkcoin_wallet_backup_2014-xx-xx Not working

Copying this in here from our discussion on Discord - I'm not even sure an Android wallet existed back then. The process to restore old wallet files from Dash Core (or Darkcoin-QT, as it was known back then) is described here: https://docs.dash.org/en/latest/wallets/recovery.html#dashcore-restore
