Which Masternode model should we implement?

When running under a hidden service, there is no way to prove that the IP address in fact is running a masternode.

Which Masternode model should we implement?

UDP doesn't use connections. The UDP packet will still be received even with all closed ports. Unless a reverse proxy is used(which can be ddosed) then the masternode will be able to be ddosed. Knowing that most masternodes are hosted on ~5$/month hostings which provide very limited amount of...

How many transactions per second (TPS) can darkcoin do?

I am interested in this too. Possibly if this "limitation" was removed then it could increase transaction speed in certain situations, maybe.

Good work Evan, team. Bye bye Bitcoin, no one needs you.

HTTP proxy : is it supported in Darkcoin Wallet? If yes, how to configure it?

I think only SOCKS is supported. What is the reason you're looking to run Darkcoin Wallet through a proxy? I don't think your IP is public anyway.

This sounds a little like DarkTor

I did not see anything that mentions the replacement of TCP/IP. Tor should be recoded on Foxtrot because centralization is never a good thing.

    v0.10.16 - Onyx v2

http://gyazo.com/0ff6b8d96313b123206e53886dcba4ab I can't believe the sync issues still have not been resolved. How does anyone expect Darkcoin to be adopted if the client can't even sync properly on first run?

    v0.10.15 - Onyx Release

Regarding the planned IP obfuscation feature, wouldn't it be easier to just run the Darkcoin network under I2P similar to how other coins are doing it? I2P is being recoded in C++. You can look at it here: https://github.com/PrivacySolutions/i2pd

Who is winning the privacy race?

I think Darkcoin is the winner. I took a look at CryptoNote and I think you can't tell the source of payment but the destination is clearly visible, correct me if I am wrong. With Darkcoin, you can't tell anything. Hopefully after open-source more developers will join Darkcoin. Evan is overworking.

Why open-sourcing may be a really bad idea…

Guy is a cop. The only individuals/organizations that hate Darkcoin are the government. Everyone knows that a closed-source cryptocurrency has no future.

Why open-sourcing may be a really bad idea…

Yep, sure. Thats why Microsoft removed encryption and all connections go through their masternodes instead of Peer-to-peer(you <-> person_you_talk_to). They do hold the files you exchange. Send file to your friend from computer. The same file will popup on your android device even after 1month...

Why open-sourcing may be a really bad idea…

Skype is very p2p. Microsoft masternodes which hold all chat history, very p2p. Darkcoin must be open-source!

Why open-sourcing may be a really bad idea…

The text "Open-source" builds trust by its own. 99% People won't look at open-source project actual source but they trust it because someone else will look at it and complain if it has backdoors or anything that one would dislike. If Google/Microsoft/Apple created a cryptocurrency that is...

Why open-sourcing may be a really bad idea…

Right. Closed-source cryptocurrency is a thing I would expect only from Google or Apple.
