Sounds like quite a bit of hashrate for a 7950! My r9's on old sgminer was getting about 2.6mh/s each. I've since stopped my miners however as I need to cut back on electricity over the summer months here.

You might be able to get away with using Nvidia cards since they can be found for a bit cheaper, and the cudaminer is getting them to work quite well. The hardware in op though is a great beginner rig, and card prices have come down a bit, so it'll be a little bit more cost-effective. Please...

Trading and buying coins direct is 9/10 the best decision to make. I enjoy mining for hobby and strengthening network and getting fresh coins. Not a bad hobby that at least helps pay you back for loving it =D

I went cheapo, and used a milk crate @_@;;... It works awesome though. I tried using those 4 cards though to litecoin and my room instantly heated up! About 20 minutes later it flipped the circuit breakers to the house, and had to go reset them. Will never mine scrypt again lmao.

Hey gorensan. It's been going for about 7 weeks strong! Made about ~250 coins so far. Just using updated sgminer, had some issues with risers and had to take out 2 cards since it was stalling sgminer whenever I tried to bump intensity up, but school is out and have more time to fiddle with it...

I also use https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/mintpal/drkbtc for a good comparison. I do most of my trading on mintpal though. Yeah even with the drop in BTC, glad to see DRK is still pretty resistant to drops. On other note it's great to see the daily trading volume of DRK easily overtaking...
