Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

The issue is their economy which is extremely inefficient and the fact that their country is broke. The government then prints money so they can pay the salaries and other things (and they have almost no private sector, so everyone is dependant on those payouts) and that inflates the prices...

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

You are missing the point. The main reason why Venezuelan money isn't worth the paper it's printed on is because it's given away when not enough new value is being created to cover for it. Giving away money is always a bad idea. I could support giving away something like 10$ worth of Dash at...

I think the collateral for Masternodes should come down

You could take a look at Smartcash in the next few months, as they just started their masternode system (they call them Smart Nodes) and as their coin supply is much higher (circulating supply is at the moment 577,000,000 and maximum coin supply is 5,000,000,000), with 10,000 coins per Smart...

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

As a liberal, I would certainly agree with that. But the market is probably one thing that could actually decide what is used as money. The market is not a separate entity, it's composed of all the people that are a part of it.

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

In socialist systems, people usually have to beg for money and then the government (which took money from the people in the first place) supposedly comes to the rescue. In capitalist systems, if someone has something that I want, I will give him money for it and vice versa. So it's a voluntary...

We should keep an eye on Smartcash

Smartcash is a cryptocurrency based on Dash (though they don't state it anywhere, but it's pretty obvious). They did some interesting things on it. First, they gave voting rights on proposals to everyone that holds Smartcash (one vote per one Smart coin). Second, they implemented Zerocoin for...

Telegram ICO , is it game over for other cryptos ?

According to their whitepaper and roadmap, they won't even have a functional product before 2019. (and that's if everything goes according to plan, which in software development rarely does), so I wouldn't be worried too much...

    Preproposal: Dash Distribution

You are a completely new person here and while your idea has merit (though I think 0.1 Dash per person may be a big donation just for the sake of promotion), I don't see how we can just take what you said at face value. You may be trying to scam people into giving you the money, as far as I know.

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

Let's just be clear about what we are talking about here. Charity is fine, as long as it's targeted at people that really need help. If you just throw money around, it will not do any good in the long run and it just may add to corruption. I would support any activity that puts urgently needed...

    DASH Selling/Marketing idea

Dash is far from one of the "greener" coins. It does use much less power than BTC, but it still uses proof of work for block generation and hashing power has jumped a lot in the last few months. No, Dash has many advantages, but being "green" is not one of them.

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

Switzerland has direct democracy. Anyway... your basic premise is wrong. When someone is rich, it doesn't mean that that value was necessarily taken from someone else. Actually, in most cases, the biggest wrongdoer and bully are the governments that take the money and things from ordinary...

Masterblocks : Scaling Blockchain by summarizing balances

I saw an idea like this already mentioned at least once on these forums. I think it has merit and should be considered as one of the potential answers to scaling. But as I don't know the extent of the plans for Evolution, it may already have some solutions that would make this idea obsolete...

Feel free to create your own fork, nobody is stopping you. But don't be surprised if that new fork has drastically lower value than primary Dash blockchain.

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

You know, your idea was already tried many times. One of the more notable places where it was tested was Venezuela. As you can see, it didn't really end well.

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

But you are talking about people that actively support the network, not all the people. The people that support the network wouldn't do that if they have any sense, because it would invalidate the trust in the network and its basic principles and nobody would want to use that crypto anymore.

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

Riiiight... so if 51% of people vote to take away the money of the 49% of people, that is ok? Luckily, cryptos have one basic advantage over fiat money. It can't be taken away by the likes of you. That's what makes it valuable, among other things. And please stop with the "you have money, so...

Impact of Evolution on current Dash masternodes owners, Price and Governance

The number of Dash masternodes can't double, let alone triple, as there is not that much Dash in existence to support that number. Current Dash supply is about 7,800,000 coins and one masternode requires 1000 coins to operate.

Impact of Evolution on current Dash masternodes owners, Price and Governance

    1. I'm not really sure how this would work in Evolution, but I'm guessing that anyone will be able to host a masternode and apply for collateral from other users. I don't see any more problems with centralization than we have at the moment. 2. I don't expect the number of masternodes to go up...

Donating DASH from the budget to the Venezuelan people

I agree. But I found that this is as much a legal as it is a technical issue. We need to have someone over there who can organize this and find a solution to make it work within the bounds of the local law.
