What's Going on at Dash - April 2018

Hello Dash Community,

In the spirit of radical transparency, here are area updates from our bi-weekly management meetings. In this way, you can follow the evolution of our organization and decision-making, as well as our product development. We hope you use this information to hold us accountable to our plans, learn with us, and contribute to our growth as an open-source, not for profit, decentralized autonomous organization. Of note, some elements are redacted, such as Business Development. We do not publicize ongoing activities with our partners. We will continue to announce partnerships through separate press releases.

With regards to Nathan's "fixing block explorer", what are we talking about here exactly ?

Are we talking about flare's https://explorer.dash.org block explorer, that nowadays seems that get automatically rerouted to https://chainz.cryptoid.info block explorer ?
And is it somehow related to Pille's dash-news.de/dashtv website, which seems unable to fetch walletaddress info ?

If the fix is indeed about flare's block explorer, any idea how long the fix will take ? (i'm pulling data from https://explorer.dash.org, but lately that has not been possible)

This is in reference to the graphical block explorer (which shows state transitions and how they affect the current state of the blockchain user accounts) developed for the contacts list demo which was broken by a bug. It has been fixed at this time (this report is a few days old). Flare's explorer is another thing entirely.

https://explorer.dash.org is back right now - let me know if you find oddities.
 
Great to see this becoming regular... the feedback shows how much it has been needed
 
With regards to Dash Evolution, are more demo's in the pipeline ? I remember something about dev team possibly putting together a demo with a more merchant/partner specific orientation ?
