What is the role of country coordinators?

The Core Team has a Russia coordinator and a couple of China coordinators. Are there any plans to expand coordination with other countries?

Without country coordinators I think people in non-English speaking countries are at a great disadvantage in participation in the Dash community, and specifically with regard to budget proposals.

Latin America, Africa, and India are whole continents that seem to be under-represented in Dash. It seems like there is a very big opportunity here.

Hi,

I see my role as "country coordinator" as:
1. local community development and coordinate it's activity with global Dash community. It's mainly "online activity" now - organise and support Translations Dash content to Russian language (for example, more then 50 Dash articles, ... was translated and published in Russian medias in June by our Dash Russian Translators team). lot's of efforts are needed for it to be done with proper quality.
2. Help Russian community members to coordinate their efforts - create and publish local content - we have weekly Dash video show, Dash articles, a number of sites, several forums, Dash chat (1500 members now), Trading Chat to attract new investors (more than 2600 members now), Dash pages in several social networks and so on...
3. participating in local offline events - conferences, meet-ups, ...
4. Help businesses to integrate and use Dash - exchanges, merchants, services - answer questions of key users, create positive and informative atmosphere in all media channels with discussions about Dash, basic FAQ and support for new users, investors, ...
5. Some people want to help our project, but don't know what to do - they need help and consulting and assistance. And so on...

Here is some more information about it:

Thanks @alex-ru for your kind response.

It is really admirable what you have achieved, and the personal commitment that you show. I very much enjoyed the video.

Hopefully we will stay in touch. I am new to Dash, I live in Caracas - Venezuela, and would like my fellow Venezuelans to know it all about Dash, as soon as posible. So your example helps me a lot.

Sounds Great!

You (and any other local Dash activists who want to get any kinds of advice how to optimise process around it) can always contact me it Telegram @alex_ru_dash - I would be happy to answer your questions about optimisation of related processes.

Also, I am planning to visit Asia (+maybe Europe) at the end of 2017 - so I could meet in person with everybody who want to discuss details about it.

Even so @JZA is in Cancun Mexico, I believe he has a friend in Venezuela who he is working with in a grass roots project. you might want to contact him/them?

I recently did an interview with @JuanSGalt were I talk a bit (in spanish) about providing a blueprint for local communities. Coming from a Free Software/Open Source background I am very connected with virtual and local communities.

BTW I dont see this a country issue, more as a language issue, is the same effort for me to fly to Mexico city than to Panama or Dominican Republic, and what I have to say will impact the community in sort of the same way I hope. So I think the main thing is to keep DASH on all available languages and keep the local efforts growing, just like I said on my interview.
