Lets say you are sitting around the dinner table with your family and your grandmother who doesn't know much about technology asks you. 'What is DASH?' - Would you try to tell her about blockchains, minning, x11, decentralized budget systems or anything like that? Probably not because it goes right over her head.

What would you say? Something as simple as this?
"DASH is a way to pay for products in stores and online using a phone or computer. "

Anyone else have something better than that? Is it too simple?
What Is DASH? Not looking for technical answers. Can anyone tell me?

The future of money. The way you will pay for your buns after governments have banned your cash.

Edit:
- It's always possible that one day, they'll not let you get money from an ATM (greece), with Dash YOU have the full control
- investment opportunity - internet yesterday - Dash today

Simple answer will be : an internet money, with no central authority can control.
Another one will be: Have you heard about bitcoin? Well DASH is a better alternative

Right now if i'm speaking to friends I would say Dash is a decentralized version of Bitcoin, who has innovated solutions to all the challenges that emerged in Bitcoin like scalability, governance, centralization and speed, whilst Bitcoin hasn't been able to achieve the original goals because they failed to innovate decentralized and scalable solutions to the real-world problems that emerged during it's growth. (of course it's harder for them to innovate as they are a lot bigger)

To non-technical users, I would just say "it's a virtual currency, like BitTorrent but for money, you have to download a desktop app but then you can hold your own cash and pay people if you know their address. The first vc was Bitcoin and there are other options but Dash is the best one now because you don't have to wait to send money and you can be private if you want to and it's the only virtual currency that you can vote on how it's developed instead of being run by a private company or group".

After Evolution I would say Dash is the first P2P currency that works on any device and you can use online without a 3rd party and without installing extra software (because 99% of web users just won't install a desktop app when they can use PayPal)

After Evo and for non-technical users, i would just say "it's like PayPal but there's no company in the middle that charges you or can freeze/steal your funds".
