Switching from Bitcoin to Dash

Good day,

It would be interesting to listen to other opinion why do peaople who holding Bitcoins not switching to Dash?

By that I mean switching fully, since usability wise I see only Dash has overtaken Bitcoin. With Instant transactions, Private send, lower fees.

I still can't figure out what holds people to switching to Dash?

Best regards.

Bitcoiners are too proud to switch altcoin, even if its better.

Or they are already massively invested in BTC. They'll stick to it, even if Bitcoin has not a single technical advantage over Dash.

It has the first mover advantage, so greater network effect. There are more merchants and more exchanges who accept bitcoin, it's less volatile, has more trade volume, is supported by more wallets, debit card companies. Even regular users are more likely to have heard about and / or use bitcoin rather than Dash. Mostly the same reasons people still hold bank balances in fiat.

I think, most Major exchanges now support Dash too. Regarding investors who contributed to Bitcoins, isn't bitcoin at all time high, so even those who invested in 2013 must be in profit, yet, they could easily rise their profit if now entering Dash market where Dash is only 3.6% worth of Bitcoin.

Regarding the rest lynx mentioned, network, volatility I must agree.

I'm in the process of evaluating a switch from BTC to Dash. One concern I have is extreme volatility of Dash price, which I think is simply a function of maturity and adoption. BTC is also volatile, but it is further down the road of maturity.
