Proposal to double the salary of everyone in the Core team.

This is inspired by my conversation with @TroyDASH at https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/...ays-we-need-you-to-vote-no.18228/#post-148688

It seems we really have a lot of money to spend and it follows that we should spend where we would get the most return. I don't think there's any area that would give us a better return than looking after our developers, projects managers and our CEO...they make this all possible. Maybe not doubling but at least 50% more.

What are your thoughts on this?
 
I don't know how much people are being compensated (although apparently it doesn't include benefits?), but I would support this if it was requested by the core team, if it would help with retention, recruiting, or performance.

but
(my personal thoughts)
we have a HR person on the team , ryan has the best overview of budget and salaries and the likes and we should leave this up to core team (board) discussion.
we try to keep a balance in “fixed expenses” and proposals of general budget and do not wanna go over x %

salaries are going by market rates , we should not leave this up to community discussions when to raise (or not) salaries as pointed out above

we need to stay neutral in this
core devs (and their families) are relying on this - so this kind of “flexibility” up (and eventually down) is not fair to them, would suggest unreliability in these payments (what goes up might come down) and needs to come from the core, HR and the likes

this is just my personal view , i am not speaking as a core board member (i have not chcecking in with them) here or such - just wanted to throw my thoughts out there (as i often do)
