This is a cross-post from www.dashcentral.org/p/cnf-icegaming-201702

This proposal is to fund Dash's participation at the ICE Totally Gaming Conference scheduled from February 7th-9th in London. Dash will participate in the conference jointly with Coinfirm to present a combined offer for the gaming and gambling sector. We plan to generate a great deal of awareness and understanding of Dash's unique advantages from the conference attendees, and how they can accept Dash on their gaming platforms while meeting regulatory requirements.

If this proposal is approved, Holger Schinzel and Robert Weiko will be representing Dash on stage this year, and will be discussing the set of features that make Dash unique and valuable for the gaming sector, and our plans going forward. Together with the Coinfirm CEO, we plan to explain how to create the most robust payment system for the gaming industry.

In addition, Dash and Coinfirm will have an exhibitor booth at the conference to interact with attendees throughout the three days, answering questions about our platform.

Additional information about the conference itself can be found here: http://www.icetotallygaming.com/

This proposal will cover the following expenses:
Airfare from Basel to London (Robert) and from Bremen to London (Holger) - about $250 USD in total
Conference materials, swag and information pamphlets - c.a $250
3 nights hotel on site - ~$400 / night / person
Ground transporation - ~$100
Exhibition booth - 1,000 GBP (~$1,244 USD)
Total: approximately $4,244

Robert Wiecko is leading our efforts to prepare for the conference. If you have questions regarding this proposal, please direct them to him by including @kot in your question.

Requested funding is as follows for the February 3rd budget cycle:
Total: 287.09 Dash

Note: Any unused budget will be applied toward future conference and travel expenses

100% yes. This is an absolutely massive exhibition in an industry that will be at the forefront of digital currency adoption/integration. Just having an exhibition booth would have been pretty cool, actually having the opportunity to partner with Coinfirm on stage and talk about Dash is a really big win.. Unbelievable! How did the opportunity come about?

Cheers

Surely meals and a couple of drinks should be covered also? Imo, future conference attendees should be given at least $100 per day allowance.

This was actually brought to the table by Coinfirm. They have very interesting connections in the industry and managed to negotiate VERY good financial conditions (booth price, speaking slot).
I am extremely excited about this conference.

Right now, our travel policy excludes meals and entertainment. I agree that as the budget has expanded, we should revisit that decision. When it was one or two people going 1-2 conferences a year, the travel itself was viewed as a small benefit. As we shift to attending more conferences - leading to more time away from home - it certainly won't be viewed the same way going forward.

I'll probably be at ICE in 2 weeks. I upvoted this in the budget room, and i'd be happy to share a cup of coffee with whoever comes to get some more updates.

Can Robert and/or Holger PM me some contacts or just the location of the stand?

Cheers!

Dash isn't displayed as an exhibitor on the Ice website. Has the registration happened yet?

Absolutely! In this, and any other conference proposals, Dash representatives should be provided at least some WAM (Walking Around Money).
