Yeah, sorry about that - Amazon was running wild yesterday, terminated four of my core instances....
 
Don't know - i hardly doubt that someone wants to pay $1.50 per hour for a instance - price has been stable for months. Maybe Amazon wanted to do some maintenance, and that's their way to clean up ^^

That one screenshot confirms that I'm glad I don't run my masternodes on spot instances like some other people do.

Generally running masternodes on spot instances, backed by an EBS volume is not a problem. If the instances gets terminated just launch a new one, reattach the EBS volume and you are back in the game.
