So I accidentally removed a chunk of Dash from my masternode (should have used DMT to remove rewards and not Trezor).

My question is can I send the 1000 Dash back to the original wallet address? (even though most of the Dash will be coming from that wallet address to start with?) This way I won't have to change anything on the masternode since it will once again be one transaction.

Address1 + Address2 ---1000---> Address1

Is this possible?

This will not work, because the masternode checks for the txid, not balance. You can use the same address, but you will at least need to update the funding txid in the settings for the wallet you are using to start the masternode (probably DMT in your case).
