1. INTRODUCTION

Dear DASH community,

Being users of DASH and falling in love with all things DASH, combined with our love for cycling we propose to marry these ideas into a DASH adoption campaign called DASH CYCLING AFRICA.

2. OUR GOAL

We aim to make DASH the preferred currency for Africa’s Mobile Money, currently the 3rd most popular cryptocurrency.

Most African’s are unbanked but there are over 277.4 million Mobile Money accounts (GMSA 2016).

These accounts are widely used for Migrant cash remittances a $34 billion USD market in 2017 according to the World Bank (see info-graphic below).

The fragment mobile money market consists of over 210 Fintech companies and represents phenomenal potential for market penetration and a wider adoption of DASH.

The project aims to reach 5 million Africans through a 6 city cycling tour. We will interact with cycling enthusiasts to promote awareness of DASH, educate them about the ease of use and its effectiveness as cash remittances tool.

4. PROJECT TEAM

The project team consists of 81 members with relevant experience and reputations spanning 3 decades, our achievements include but are not limited to, developing 2 niche IT industries in South Africa. We are skilled in bringing new products and services to market, other skills that could benefit DASH include thought leadership seminars and industry development. Our professionals include Xperien CEO, Xperien MD, IT Public relations MD, Brandspark MD, 50 x Product Marketing Activators and of course 20 core cyclists, expect full team details with proposal submission.

Cycling and Crypto are a common phenomenon among 25-59-year olds of High LSM. This presents the best opportunity to promote DASH as the most effective wallet to use in the case for cash remittance. We will provide DASH awareness and education to an audience of 5 million, 5 million of the right clientele thorough our interactions at meet-ups, training sessions, race day meets in all 6 cities, social & traditional media exposure.

I. MEETUPS (Evening before the race)

We will host meet-ups in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, SunCity and Pretoria when cycling enthusiasts are in town, inviting them to join DASH CYCLING AFRICA. The cycling community attracts participants from all around world to compete in prominent marathons, these race days create a common bond and an opportunity to merge these interests, talk about cryptos, cycling and most importantly educate them about DASH, its use, cases and adoption.

The sessions will also be used to train the “Marketing Activator”, these are temporary staff employed in each of the 6 cities to educate cyclists and spectators on the ease of opening a wallet, transactions and effectiveness of using DASH as a cash remittance utility.

II. RACE VILLIAGE ACTIVATION AND BRANDING

A team of 15 activators will interact with spectators and riders that queue at our stand for a “free massage” for those tired legs, while they wait they will be surrounded by DASH branding and trained “Marketing Activators” that will educate them about all things DASH and the ease of use.

The Race Village is where the traditional media is assembled, this is at the finish line of the cycling marathon. The traditional cycling media following is healthy and growing due to the recent explosion in cycling popularity. We will setup our product activation gazebo alongside global brands like “Coca Cola and Nestle” who are attracted to the huge crowds that assemble for a relaxing family day out at the races.

III. CYCLING PELOTON (20+ rider marathon 100km)

20 core riders will lead our peloton at all the races below. This presents a tremendous opportunity for exposure for the DASH brand as these events have a strong mix of support from traditional media, TV, Radio, Print, thousands of spectators and of course social media.

IV. XPERIEN PR CHANNELS - Media TV, Radio and Print

Our collaboration with ITPR Consultancy offers a team that is well versed though its niche leadership is in the IT services market, our established network of journalists and media houses will help to drive the DASH brand, bring awareness and effectively run the adoption campaign, through the usual tools such as, interviews or Dash discussion. We will also engage our other media channels in terms of the writing and editing of media releases, pitches and briefing documents to create a great STORY. This media hype will give us access to millions of Africans. Each race day will be supported and organized by our Public relations team members that will follow a strategy that will target media channels, including CyclingSA, print media and other websites with coverage exceeding 5 million viewers as well as DSTV with 8 million subscribers.

V. XPERIEN TEAM CYCLING SOCIAL MEDIA – We have an established community that is built around the communication platforms of Linked In, Facebook, Google +, Twitter, YouTube and Direct Mail. We will drive the message Join DASH CYCLCING AFRICA, a cycling recruitment campaign that aims to bring DASH brand awareness and education of DASH use cases. “Did you know” DASH is an efficient form of cash remittance.


VI. CRYPTOMANIA AFRICA :The conference (second proposal)

We also plan to host a mid-year cryptocurrency conference sponsored by DASH. The project management of this will be outsourced to compliment the countrywide cycling tour and media campaigns, more detail will be provided with the proposal submission.

VII. Our community XTC - Xperien Team Cycling consists of employees, family members, customers and friends all bounded together by the love of cycling.

We are a WhatsApp based communication to engage and planning for our race meets, but we also use the Xperien FB, G+ & Twitter for publicity.


Xperien team cycling has competed and participated all around the country since 2014.

This is a full costing for DASH Cycling Africa, the mod conference cost will form part of another proposal.

For this amount of dash, you really need to be doing videos and interviews; CATV, Craig Mason, DFN, etc

My first thought was also that the price was rather high, too. Can you somehow justify they price ... for example, how many people per Dash would you reach, vs other projects.

We would love to have you at the Cape Town meetup should our proposal be accepted.


I would be nice to a value for money comparison with project like gc-dash-aerosports planned 3 show 2 million viewer 1366 DASH our project is 22 events with TV & radio 5 million viewers for 470 DASH that’s around 6 times more exposure per DASH.

But I suppose an independent assessment would welcomed

what exactly does Dash get in return apart from cyclists wearing dash branded gear ?
 
Thank for this important question, " How will the DASH brand get value for money?"

We have marketing activations at 10 race / training days where 15 Activators will show people how to open a wallet and educate them about use cases, the events will be filmed for social media distribution, our creative director & public relations team will engage the traditional media (TV , Radio & Print) to create story for circulation, there is much more detailed in the pre-proposal and a justification of how we will reach 5 million people.

Africa has 277 Million Mobile money accounts that is twice as many as the rest of thw world, these accounts are operated by 210 competing FINTECH companies which means there is an opportunity for a DASH network / exchange to service a $34 bilion (USD) market for Cash Remittances, see details confimed by world bank

Image if DASH could be dominate in this market where remittances come from all over the world and total more than the national GDP of any sub saharan Afircan countries except Nigeria & South Africa.

Great Project Idea! It may be a good idea to post the pre-proposal in South African Circling Groups on FaceBook as well as other Cryptocurrency Groups to get the awareness and support for this Great Project. Another consideration is Nigeria. Nigeria being the largest economy in Africa and the most populated would benefit from such a Project. More importantly the use of Mobile Money is wide spread in Nigeria. This Project would give Dash the opportunity of becoming the number currency remittance in Nigeria. With hard work and the right team this can easily be achieved if the Vision is pushed there in Addition. Exciting Times Ahead for Africa Cryptomania! I am ready to give my Vote and Support for this Project both in SA and in Nigeria.
