This is a very handsome tools window but I'm having problems. I just installed v16 and it started updating but I don't think any blockchain transactions are coming in. In Tools window/information/network/# of connections it sez 8 connections in:0, Out:8
- How come no blocks are coming in?
- Is 8 connections enuf?
-syncing headers % stays at 97.5%
- network traffic map has no data spikes (nothing is going on)
HOW COME I'M NOT GETTING CAUGHT UP?
SO WHAT IS NOT GOING ON HERE?
THX V, MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!!!
8 connections is good (max number), but maybe those connections need to be renewed.
step 1 : stop your wallet
step 2 : delete your peers.dat file from your Dash installation directory (rightclick on your desktop shortcut, click properties, click file location)
step 3 : make sure you are on Dash Core wallet version 0.16.1.1 (download from here :
https://www.dash.org/downloads/)
step 4 : restart your wallet
Sometimes simply stopping and restarting your Dash Core wallet is enough to get the syncing of headers completed.
It also helps if your blockchain is on a SSD drive, instead of a HDD drive. Syncs faster is my experience.
If you are updating from a much older Dash Core wallet (v0.15 for example), you will also need to do a re-index.
After you get your wallet to completely sync its headers and its starts to sync blocks and after awhile possibly gets stuck at block 1379127, then reconsider block 1379127 :
dash-cli reconsiderblock 000000000000000afecd3ab8c45c69bcf9556a8b2c871cb15ed51d9457bd703d if you are on CLI
or just reconsiderblock 000000000000000afecd3ab8c45c69bcf9556a8b2c871cb15ed51d9457bd703d in the debug console of the UI.

Block 1379127 is a block where the blockchain (intentionally) forked in the past, i think.
