A very well written article. I was saying this stuff a couple of years ago and, of course, viciously ridiculed. Unfortunately, even to this day, there's a hard core of loyalists that will never acknowledge this. To me, it has always been obvious that the alts will overtake and dominate. I'll even go as far to say, corporate and government issued cryptos will emerge. And despite what people say about private blockchains, I think there will be middle ground with new innovations.
My only slight critic is, I definitely wouldn't say that technical superiority wins. Having said that, at this moment in time, technical innovation is definitely a significant factor. Imagine, for example, if we could fix / limit the size of the blockchain.
Imo, dash may not get to number one position because, in this space, so much can happen in the next 12 - 18 months. But I'm more than happy to be proved wrong.
I have a couple of wishes:
1. The reward split should be dynamically set within a range and voted on by MNOs.
2. MNOs are given more responsibilities and options for earning extra money.
