Can the amount of Dash requested in a proposal be modified?

I made a mistake by confusing the Dash required to create the proposal with the Dash requested . Is it possible to rectify this error or do I need to start over with a new proposal? If I have to create a new proposal, will I lose the original Dash?

Once you submitted a proposal, the amount is fixed, you would have to resubmit.
